  1. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Leeds 0-0 Stoke

Leeds felt they should have had a spot kick after Dan James went tumbling, but there was nothing doing from referee Oliver Langford.

Stoke have rallied since their early struggles, and have had some useful possession but not yet truly troubled Ilian Meslier.

Hang on, free-kick from Lewis Baker, but Ki-Jana Hoever's header sails high over the crossbar. Still goalless.

  2. 'Vardy goal was coming'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sunderland 0-1 Leicester

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

That goal was coming. Sunderland could have been two or three goals down already - they’ve got to show a bit of character now.

Vardy - he's stong in the air. When you’re that old, what do you bring to the table? Experience. He knows where that ball is going to drop. You’ve got make sure he doesn’t get a header.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

We're up and running now at Portman Road for our final Championship game this evening.

  4. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Hull 0-0 Birmingham

Hull have been passing the ball around with conviction in the opening stages.

Abdulkadir Omur drives a cross along the face of the goal, but nobody is quite able to get a touch to steer the ball in.

That is followed by Jean Michael Seri trying his luck with a strike from 20 yards, which is well-saved by Birmingham's veteran keeper John Ruddy.

  5. goal

GOAL: Sunderland 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Jamie Vardy (13 mins)

Sunderland's goal had been living a charmed life but that charm has certainly worn off as Leicester go ahead.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall sends in a fizzing free-kick which Wout Faes connects with a header to force a save from Anthony Patterson.

Jamie Vardy is lurking to nod home the rebound and put the league leaders ahead.

  6. 'Great opportunity for Leicester'published at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sunderland 0-0 Leicester

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

The two wide players - Stephy Mavididi and Abdul Fatawu - are so quick that they want a 1v1. Ball slipped by the side and it's away.

That was a great opportunity for Leicester to take the lead.

Anthony Patterson - take a bow. Great save!

    Sunderland 0-0 Leicester

Leicester getting in behind and should have a couple.

First of all Stephy Mavididi belting down the left to collect a Jamie Vardy flick, but instead of testing Anthony Patterson cuts back and misses out the arriving support.

Then he cut back to a waiting Vardy, whose sharp effort was briliantly saved by Patterson with an instinctive stop.

Sunderland being opened up out wide.

  8. Postpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth

Good spell from the hosts now in the Argyle box.

Ian Poveda showcases some lovely footwork and tees up Ike Ugbo from close range but his effort bounces off Plymouth keeper Conor Hazard's chest.

Ugbo then sees another shot blocked from the resulting corner.

  9. Postpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Leeds 0-0 Stoke

Stoke aren't sitting back and allowing Leeds to boss this by any means.

The Potters move the ball into Josh Laurent on the edge of the box, who from the right skitters a low drive at Leeds goalkeeper Ilian Meslier.

Wasn't a difficult save, but a save all the same.

  10. Postpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth

Plymouth are continuing to look dangerous and have had a couple of decent half chances.

Morgan Whittaker ran into the box but Sheffield Wednesday's defence pushed him wider than he probably would have liked and his shot ended up going over.

Mickel Miller then almost picked out Ryan Hardie at the near post but Hardie couldn't quite get his foot onto the ball and Owls keeper James Beadle gathered it.

That is a nightmare moment for Viktor Johansson in the Rotherham goal.

He tries to take hold of Jake Bidwell's cross and drops it at the feet of a very happy Ellis Simms, who taps home.

  12. Ipswich keep up title chasepublished at 19:52

Ipswich v Bristol City (20:00 GMT)

Ipswich celebrate scoringImage source, Rex Features

If anyone thought Ipswich’s promotion charge had started to peter out last month they were considerably mistaken.

The Tractor Boys come into this evening on a winning run of five games that has moved them back up to second place, and with Leeds dropping points on Saturday they now have a two point buffer on them.

They’re also closing in on top of the table but out of form Leicester, who are also in action against Sunderland. A win for Ipswich and another loss for the Foxes would leave them level on points tonight.

Ipswich’s opponents tonight are Bristol City who continue to sit very-much mid-table although such is the closeness of the league they are only six points from the bottom three and won't want to be dragged into any relegation fight at this stage.

The Robins’ inconsistency shows no signs of abetting with them having lost their last three games, although they did put an end to Southampton’s club-record run last month so don’t rule them entirely out.

  13. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Blackburn 0-0 Millwall

Blackburn will be wary of the fact that Millwall have scored within the first five minutes of their last two games under Neil Harris.

But the hosts have started brightly at Ewood Park.

Tyrhys Dolan makes a strong run down the right and his ball forward into Sammie Szmodics is fired invitingly across goal.

  14. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth

Plymouth have started on the front foot and have had all the possession these first few minutes.

Morgan Whittaker has also already shown flashes of what he can do, darting down the wing and whipping a cross into the box that the hosts cleared.

  15. Postpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sunderland 0-0 Leicester

Big night for teenager Chris Rigg, who at 16 makes his first start for Sunderland.

Big night for him, against a Leicester side featuring Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harry Winks anchoring midfield.

  16. Postpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Leeds 0-0 Stoke

Leeds already serving Stoke notice of their intent.

Crysencio Summerville is released down the left, wriggling into the box in that stuttering high-speed style, but the Potters have plenty back to smother.

    Consider themselves warned.

  20. Hull play-off push contrasted by battling Bluespublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Hull v Birmingham (19:45 GMT)

    Jaden PhilogeneImage source, Getty Images

This game presents a brilliant opportunity for Hull City to cement their Championship play-off ambitions.

They are one place and one point inside the all-important top six, but the two teams below them - Norwich City and Preston North End - don't play until tomorrow and face tricky away trips to Middlesbrough and Southampton respectively.

At the other end of the table, 20th-placed Birmingham are only outside of the relegation zone on goal difference - one of six teams separated by just a single point.

One of Blues' biggest problems has been their away form, having lost 12 out of 17 games this season.

If that trend continues, this fixture could be a good night for Hull's former Aston Villa player Jaden Philogene to score against his old side's rivals.

The winger has netted two goals in his last three games against Birmingham, including one while on loan at Cardiff last season.
