    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

The fourth official signals two minutes of injury time.

Roll on the break, we need fresh impetus from the dressing rooms.

  2. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Oh dear!

Just as Ipswich begin to enjoy a bit more territory and possession, centre-half Luke Woolfenden senses a chance to shoot from 30 yards.

He will wish he hadn't bothered - more Sunday league than Premier League hopeful that one!

  3. 'Predictable Ipswich'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Barry Kent
    BBC Radio Suffolk summariser

Ipswich are trying to be patient in the build-up but it's predictable. They need some of Wes Burns' pace but that's no reflection on him. The ball just hasn't come to him.

  4. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

Other than Kieffer Moore's tame header in the opening couple of minutes, Ipswich have not tested Cardiff goalkeeper Ethan Horvath.

Apart from a three-game spell around Christmas, the Tractor Boys have scored in every Championship game this season.

  5. 'Game going through a lull'published at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Barry Kent
    BBC Radio Suffolk summariser

That ball epitomises the first half - much ado about nothing. Game is definitely going through a bit of a lull.

  6. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich break out and Leif Davis wins his side's first corner of the day.

    Will it come to anything?

No! Davis fails to beat the first man.

  7. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

The game has got a little niggly after the decent start from Cardiff.

A few stoppages for free-kicks have disrupted the flow.

The last time Jeremy Sarmiento was here in November, he scored one of the best goals at Cardiff City Stadium this season when he curled in a fabulous winner for West Brom, his club at the time.

The Brighton loanee hasn't really got going yet today but the Ipswich fans have sung his name a few times.

We had a brief stoppage as Jeremy Sarmiento appeared to be clattered by Kieffer Moore.

But the Brighton loanee is OK to continue.

  10. 'Ipswich applying pressure'published at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Barry Kent
    BBC Radio Suffolk summariser

This is an interesting game - a very open game as well. Cardiff are looking dangerous.

There's a bit of pressure from Ipswich. A couple of headers - shame it wasn't Kieffer Moore on the end of one. They need a prolonged period of possession to see if they can get at the Cardiff defence.

  11. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich have not been at their best so far, but their record at the Cardiff City Stadium is not great.

They have not won on any of their last six visits, losing the last four.

Their last win was back in March 2011, a 2-0 success with two Jimmy Bullard goals. That feels a long time ago!

  12. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

Eight attempts on goal from Cardiff so far, compared to just two from Ipswich.

Now Karlan Grant sends over an inviting in-swinging cross that is just beyond the run of David Turnbull into the box.

It has been good from the Bluebirds, but without the goal.

Their tally of 41 goals from 36 games is comfortably the lowest in the top half of the Championship.

Half a shout for a penalty for Cardiff as Jeremy Sarmiento blocks an effort from Karlan Grant with his upper body after a corner is cleared out to him.

Referee says no, no VAR, so let's play on!

  14. Big couple of weeks for Welsh footballpublished at 16 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

This is the start of a big couple of weeks in Welsh football, so the decent atmosphere is a good tune-up.

There is the small matter of Swansea v Cardiff next Saturday, before Wales' Euro 2024 play-off at home to Finland on 21 March in this stadium.

Beat the Finns and five days later, there would be a home play-off final against Poland or Estonia to secure a place at this summer's tournament.

  15. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

A slightly nervous moment for visiting keeper Vaclav Hladky as he fumbles a cross-shot from Josh Bowler before catching it at the second attempt.

Ipswich second best in these opening 15 minutes here.

  16. 'Moore goal would have been spectacular'published at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Barry Kent
    BBC Radio Suffolk summariser

That was a very good move between Conor Chaplin and Wes Burns. To be fair to Kieffer Moore, it was in front him so he had to adjust. It would have been spectacular if it had gone in but as it was, it flew over the bar.

  17. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

Now Ipswich respond as Wes Burns sends over a terrific ball into the centre.

Kieffer Moore gets ahead of his marker, but he attempts an audacious flick and gets it wrong, sending it well wide of the near post.

Decent chance and the home fans love it!

  18. 'Lively atmosphere'published at 10 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

This strong start from Cardiff has really got the home fans going.

Early kick-offs can sometimes be blighted by sleepy atmospheres but, with Ipswich selling out their allocation and making a good noise in their corner, it's lively in the Welsh capital.

  19. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

More positive stuff from the home side.

Nice inter-play between Karlan Grant and Josh Wilson-Esbrand and it requires centre-half Luke Woolfenden to make a big block on Wilson-Esbrand's shot.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 5 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ipswich

And now a first crack for Cardiff. It's a beautiful strike from David Turnbull from 25 yards which is pushed behind by Vaclav Hladky.

From the resulting corner, Hladky makes an even better stop, low down from Josh Bowler's volley at the back post before Kieffer Moore hacks away the rebound from Perry Ng.

Big save from the big Czech.
