The England man is fine. He was on the floor a few moments ago but comes back on and taps in after Vinicius Jr cuts through the Girona defence again.

Girona right-back Yan Couto does not now whether he is coming or going at the minute.

Like a hot knife through butter. Bayer attack down the left and Alejandro Grimaldo swaps passes with Nathan Tella and lashes his effort high into the roof of the visitors' net.

    That looks so easy.

    HT: Real Madrid 2-0 Girona

Girona manager Michel has been at pains to play down his side's chances of upsetting the status quo in Spanish football by winning the title only seven years since his first appearance in La Liga.

And no wonder...judging by that half of football.

While Girona are clearly missing Yangel Herrera and Daley Blind they have barely laid a glove on Real who are down to the bare bones at the back with Eder Militao, David Alaba and Nacho Fernandez all sidelined.

Key forward Artem Dobyk has touched the ball just six times for the visitors in that half.
