Nathan Tella once of Southampton and Burnley is involved as Bayer have have a chance to get a shot in through Amine Adli, but that is easily saved by Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer.

At the other end Leon Goretzka swipes at a chance from the edge of the box and smashed the ball over the top.

In case you need a reminder this is how it stands at the top of the Bundesliga, where Bayer Leverkusen sit two points ahead of reigning champions Bayern Munich.

Xabi Alonso's side are the only side in the big five European leagues to have not lost a league match all season long, although it took a 90th-minute penalty from Exequiel Palacios in the reverse fixture in September to secure a 2-2 draw against Thomas Tuchel's team.
