You would expect Bayern Munich to dominate possession but to have zero shots on target is crazy with the players that they have. Harry Kane was barely involved in the game.

Bayern need to find a way to speed the game up a little bit and make the game quicker. Under Pep Guardiola they played the most beautiful football but now they are not even playing nice football. They are not creating anything with all those world-class players.

They need to step it up and enjoy it a little bit more. Everyone looks down. It is privilege to play for and to coach Bayern, enjoy it a little bit more. When you smile a bit more it makes the game a little bit easier.

    FT: Lazio 1-0 Bayern Munich

This is only Lazio's second win in a Champions League knockout game.

They beat Valencia 1-0 at home in the 1999-2000 quarter-final second leg, although they had lost the first leg 5-2 so went out.

Right now Bayern Munich will be sat there thinking 'what is going on?'. They will be looking for answers from within but they will be asking a lot of questions of each other.

The body language of Thomas Tuchel was interesting as well. I saw images of him head in hands and it wasn't even 60 minutes yet. That feeds onto the pitch - there is a negative energy that seems to be surrounding the club at the moment and the only thing that will change that is results.

This is a mammoth tie now. They've got to win the game and turn it around in Munich. They have to find the confidence from somewhere.

Standards look lower than we've ever seen, it was poor all round.

Thomas Tuchel is a man under increasing pressure now. His team have got to turn it around in Bavaria in a couple of weeks' time.

I thought Lazio deserved it on the balance of the second half. Came out with energy, won the penalty, Immobile the prolific striker slotted it away with ease. But.. could they have gone for the jugular and put this tie to bed? They had other opportunities, didn't take them.

This tie is well and truly on. I still back Bayern to turn it around but Lazio have given themselves a chance now.

Bayern have lost consecutive matches for the first time since December 2019 when Hansi Flick was still their caretaker boss.

It is pretty bad. Bayern Munich had their worse performance against Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend in a must-win game and tonight they were favourites. You can tell confidence is way down.

They didn't have a shot on target. It looks like confidence it really low and they need to find a way to get it back.

There will be a lot of criticism and rightly so, everyone played poorly.

They have a second leg and they could salvage it but right now they are struggling and if anything towards the end it looked like Lazio could have added another.

It is very, very difficult times for Bayern Munich right now. They are a lot better side than they've shown in the last few weeks.

All over at the Parc des Princes.

Comfortable for PSG in the end. They have a good lead going into the second leg.

  10. 'Bayern ran out of ideas'published at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

Bayern Munich were a little bit disjointed, that is the word for their performance. They really struggled to break down a strong defensive unit. They ran out of ideas of how to get through.

Very poor this from Bayern. Lazio just pinging the ball around the back unchallenged.

Just counting down the seconds now. PSG are passing it around the back.

Come on Lazio, go for the jugular! That's what gladiators do!

    PSG 2-0 Real Sociedad

Jon Aramburu is on for his Champions League debut, replacing Javier Galan in defence for Real Sociedad. His first job is to attack a corner at the other end.

At 1-0 we all expect Bayern to be able to overturn that at home. At 2-0, if Lazio find another goal, that is a whole different kettle of fish.

I just don't understand why their keeper Provedel is slowing things down. They need to go for it, go for the jugular!

  20. Postpublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Lazio 1-0 Bayern Munich

Take it first time man. Bayern gift the ball to Lazio and Felipe Anderson is picked out inside the box. He takes a touch which allows a defender to get in to block his shot. Big chance for 2-0 gone.
