You are openb to the elements [here].

I expect Chelsea to test the goalkeeper and put balls into the box, aerial balls.

There's already much more intensity about Chelsea.

A quick one touch passing move ends in a dangerous cross into the box from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

The subsequent corner also causes worry in the Everton box, as have most of the Chelsea set pieces so far in the game, but the home side just about manage to see out the danger.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Everton get the ball back rolling on Merseyside.

Can they convert their attacking promise into goals in this second half?

  4. Stick or twist?published at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    HT: Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea looked a yard off it in all areas for the majority of the first half and yet they created the best chance of it.

They could be left ruing that glaring miss from Jelena Cankovic if Everton do manage to find their goalscoring touch.

So, with quite a few injury and fatigue worries in her squad already, does Emma Hayes look to her bench or stick with her starting XI for now?

  5. Toffees missing that goalscoring touchpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    HT: Everton 0-0 Chelsea

I think it is pretty fair to say that Everton boss Brian Sorensen will be the happier of the two managers at half time.

His side have been composed and calm on the ball, restricting Chelsea to set pieces and long range chances, and having some decent attempts on goal of their own.

However, as has been the case on so many occasions this season (particularly at Walton Hall Park), the Toffees have lacked a cutting edge to find the lead their performance has deserved.

What a let-off for Everton. Cankovic had the ball on her favoured left foot and she just got it all wrong.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

A big let off for Everton right at the end of the half, as things remain all square at the break.

What a chance and what a miss!

Great run down the right by Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, who cuts a pass back to the edge of the six yard box.

Jelena Cankovic strides onto the ball, looking like she will give Chelsea a half time lead, but she curls the shot wide of the upright!

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England and Everton goalkeeper on BBC

Everton have really restricted the way that Chelsea have created chances from open play. It's just when they have forced corners that it has been a bit of a scramble or a melee.

The free kick is good, delivered into the back post and nodded back across goal.

Courtney Brosnan stretches but cannot tip the ball behind, but Martina Piemonte is on hand to clear at the back post.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45 + 2 mins

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Heather Payne fouls Jelena Cankovic in the middle, earning the first caution of the game and giving Chelsea a chance to deliver the ball into the box.

  13. 'Charles looks to be fine'published at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    Rachel Brown-Finnis

She kind of gets squashed, Niamh Charles. I am sure she will be fine because it seems to be that she has just had the wind knocked out of her.

Defender Niamh Charles now requires some treatment.

She collided with her own teammate Sjoeke Nusken at that last corner, and came off a little worse for it. Looked like she was winded and possibly took a boot to the head.

  16. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Better from Chelsea.

Some nice interplay between Jelena Cankovic and Fran Kirby to work the ball into the right hand channel.

The ball into the box is poor though and Everton clear it behind rather easily.

  17. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Everton work the ball forward, Hannah Bennison finds Kathrine Kuhl, who shapes to dink the ball into the box.

She gets the delivery all wrong and the ball bounces harmlessly into the arms of Zecira Musovic.

Everton break dangerously down the left hand side through Elise Stenevik.

Her left-footed cross is blocked out for a corner by Jess Carter under suspicions of hand ball.

Replays show the ball hit her arm only after bouncing up from her knee, so nothing doing and play continues.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 33 mins

    Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Heather Payne goes down in the box under contact and immediately turns to the referee and asks the question.

On second look it just seemed to be a coming together between the Everton forward and Sophie Ingle, although the home fans were certainly voicing their opinions from the stands.

Chelsea look static in attack at the moment.

Sophie Ingle just had the ball 20 yards from goal, central to the box, and was forced to turn around and play backwards as she had no options ahead of her.

Emma Hayes will be far from happy with what she has seen from her side so far.
