    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

The corner comes in from the right and it is Khadija Shaw who meets the cross once again.

Her header lacks sufficient power though and Hannah Hampton catches comfortably.

  2. CHANCE!published at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

City work the ball well across the box before Leila Ouahabi has the chance to fire a cross in from the left.

Khadija Shaw does well to chest it down and volley the ball towards goal, but her effort is blocked by a defender and the hosts have to make do with a corner.

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

First action of the game for Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd.

Erin Cuthbert executes a great turn and run in midfield before playing her teammate down the wing.

The ball comes too late though and the Chelsea forward is deemed to have strayed offside.

  4. Postpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

A clever touch from Chloe Kelly sees her nip the ball through the legs of a Chelsea defender to get herself into the box.

She goes down under a challenge from Eve Perisset but it looked more like a coming together than a genuine penalty appeal for the home side.

The second half has been much better from Manchester City.

Jess Park has been the key playmaker, using her low centre of gravity to dribble past Chelsea defenders as City look to overload Chelsea on the attack.

For now, though, Chelsea are just about managing to cling on to their lead. Hannah Hampton's goalkeeping has kept them ahead, but how much longer will they be able to hold out for?

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

    Another alteration for Chelsea.

Emma Hayes opts not to risk the fitness of Guro Reiten after she went down with a knock moments ago.

Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd comes on to take her place on the left hand side.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

Hannah Hampton with another big save to deny Khadija Shaw!

It was another great turn from the Man City forward to get in behind the Chelsea defence, but once again Hampton was able to get a strong left hand down to push away the danger.

    Lindsay Johnson
    Ex-England defender on BBC Sport

Emma Hayes won't be happy with how her side have started this second half but she will know Manchester City had to really go up against Chelsea if they want to get anything out of this semi-final.

  11. 'Fantastic defending from Perisset'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

    Lindsay Johnson
    Ex-England defender on BBC Sport

Hemp was just waiting and Perisset had to time that just right to make that connection. Really good press from Laura Coombs. Is it a cross? Is it a shot? Probably a cross but fantastic defending from Perisset.

  12. CLOSE!published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

Just as City did in the first half, Chelsea over-play the ball in their own defensive third and nearly get punished!

Khadija Shaw nicks in and drives into the six yard box before squaring a pass to Lauren Hemp.

Thankfully for Chelsea Eve Perisset is on hand to cut the pass out at the very last second.

  13. 'Fantastic from Hampton'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

    Lindsay Johnson
    Ex-England defender on BBC Sport

Fantastic from Hampton. Great ball in, you see Jess Park just driving in, it's a wicked ball into the area. Hemp's able to get onto the end of it and Hampton is actually going the other way and has to change direction quickly. Really agile. She's not only able to make the save but keep hold of the ball. Fantastic.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

Fantastic save again from Hannah Hampton.

Jess Park's low cross looks for all the world like it is going to be tapped in at the back post by Lauren Hemp.

The England keeper has other ideas though, getting low to smother the shot almost on her own goalline.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

The frustration is showing a bit now among the City players.

Chloe Kelly needlessly kicks the ball away after fouling Melanie Leupolz, earning the first caution of the match.

  16. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

Captain Alex Greenwood is finding plenty of joy with long balls into the feet of the City attackers.

Those switches in possession are helping the side find some space in front of the Chelsea defence, but they are remaining resolute on the edge of their box for now.

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

Early chances for both sides at the start of this second half, but things remain very cagey.

That sighter for Bunny Shaw will give her confidence of finding the scoresheet, but City have to find a way of getting her into the game more in order to make that happen.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

    Strong save by Hannah Hampton!

Khadija Shaw receives the ball with her back to goal, turns brilliantly and drives at the Chelsea defence.

The forward gets away from Sjoeke Nusken and fires a shot across goal, but it is palmed clear by the Chelsea keeper.

  19. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Man City 0-1 Chelsea

    Chance for Chelsea.

Erin Cuthbert glides past Kerstin Casparij and Yui Hasegawa on the Chelsea left before firing a low cross into the feet of Aggie Beever-Jones.

The youngster looks to take a quick touch and finish but her shot bobbles up off her shin and spins wide of the Man City net.

Hampton's excellent distribution has a new element. She's now taking goal kicks, knocking it short to a teammate who passes it back so HH can kick a rolling ball, which many players prefer.

    Mile, Cornwall

Woeful first half from City Women. Coombs and Kelly offer nothing. Angeldahl and Fowler must come on.
