  1. Goodnight!

    #bbcefl

Ipswich players applaud the fans after beating Rotherham

That's all from us here tonight.

We'll be back on Friday night to kick-start the weekend's action with a massive clash at the top of the table as Leicester travel to Leeds plus Coventry v Preston in the Championship, as well as Wigan v Cheltenham in League One.

    Thanks for joining us!

  2. Hull of a night for Ipswich

    #bbcefl

    Top of the Championship

Ipswich Town had double reason to breathe a huge sigh of relief after tonight's last-gasp win over bottom side Rotherham.

Firstly, it puts the Tractor Boys level with second-placed Leeds as they move in just behind the West Yorkshire club in the table.

Secondly, Southampton lose a bit of ground and drop to fourth after they were beaten by Hull City, whose reward for such a fine away display is to lift themselves into the top six play-off places.

For Rotherham, it's doubly cruel. They get nothing despite causing Ipswich all sorts of problems. They are 14 points behind Millwall in 21st and the last 'safe' spot.

  3. Bolton close in League One promotion race

    #bbcefl

    Top of League One

Bolton's win at Cambridge moves them level on points with Derby in second and they still have a game in hand.

A point for Oxford at home to Northampton nudges them above Peterborough into fifth but they've played two games more than the sides around them.

The late equaliser for Northampton keeps them 11th and sees them 11 points behind the top six - it'll take much more than draws to charge the play-offs.

At the other end of the table, Reading now have breathing space above the bottom four thanks to their win at Port Vale, who remain two points from safety but having used one of their games in hand.

  4. As your were at top of League Two

    #bbcefl

Mansfield were the winners of the night. Stockport are now within striking distance and they have a game in hand.

While the leaders ended a run of successive defeats, they'll be disappointed not to have beaten Gillingham. Wrexham's draw with MK Dons keeps them third, and the hosts fifth.

Gillingham's point was enough for them to go level with Harrogate in the final play-off spot.

  5. Post update

    #bbcefl

Well that was fun wasn't it! As always, some surprise results across the league tonight - with Southampton beaten and Ipswich taken all the way to added time by bottom-of-table Rotherham.

Speaking of tables, let's take a look at how things stand in the Championship, League One and League Two.

  6. 'Hull did everything right'

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Hull

    Jo Tessem

Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

Southampton didn't deserve to win this game.

The way Hull played football, attacked Southampton - they did everything right.

Southampton tried and got the momentum in the end but couldn't get there. It's just how football is.

  7. 'To lose like that - it hurts'

    FT: Ipswich 4-3 Rotherham

    Ronnie Moore

Ex-Rotherham manager on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

    Football can be so cruel.

It was an absolute fantastic game of football. That second half performance was everything you want from a Rotherham team and more. They kept the ball so well and they are a match for anyone when they are like that.

    Peter Kioso was immense.

To lose like Rotherham lost that game there - it hurts. If they produced that week in and week out, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now. You've lost a game only because of weak defending in the first half.

It's given me a bit of pride. I'm proud to be a Miller tonight. We deserved to get something out this game. That is what we want from Rotherham.

    Welcome back, Rotherham United!

  8. Baggies ease to Plymouth victory

FT: Plymouth Argyle 0-3 West Brom

    Brent Pilnick

    BBC Sport at Home Park

    Kipre scores

In the end West Brom turned it on and got a deserved victory at Home Park.

They never really got out of third gear in the second half, but it was all they needed against an Argyle side that looked bereft of any attacking ideas.

It will be a concern to Pilgrims fans - who booed on the final whistle - as they failed to register a shot on target all night.

As for the Baggies, they will go away happy with a good win knowing there is a lot more in the tank.

  9. FULL-TIME

    Blackpool 0-3 Peterborough

A resounding win for Peterborough in the EFL Trophy semi-final.

Malik Mothersille gave them a first half lead, Harrison Burrows provided breathing space from the spot before his second in added time added gloss to the night for the Posh.

A good run to the last four for Blackpool but they miss out on a trip to Wembley.

Peterborough will play Bradford or Wycombe who play tomorrow night.

  10. 'Vale leave maybe wishing the game that wasn't...was...'

    FT: Reading 2-0 Port Vale

    Phil Bowers

    Journalist, BBC Radio Stoke

Port Vale still looking for their first away win since December.

A day that sees Reading push further away from Vale in the relegation zone.

Vale leave maybe wishing the game that wasn't...was...

  11. League One full-times

Oxford 2-2 Northampton; Reading 2-0 Port Vale

Tony Springett's injury time equaliser stole a point for Northampton at Oxford.

Josh Murphy put the home side ahead after just six minutes before Will Hondermarck equalised for the Cobblers.

Will Goodwin put the Us back ahead with just nine minutes remaining but Springett struck very late.

In the later kick-off, Reading were frustrated for large parts of the game at home to Port Vale but eventually found their goals.

Lewis Wing broke the deadlock with 14 to play before Harvey Knibbs made sure of the points.

  12. FULL-TIME

    Ipswich 4-3 Rotherham

Omari Hutchinson scores Ipswich's winner over Rotherham

Ipswich finally get the three points and the victory over the line but they made this massively difficult against a plucky and spirited Rotherham.

They led 3-1 after Tom Eaves' early opener, with two goals from Wes Burns and a Kieffer Moore effort.

Rotherham dragged it back level in the second half with goals from Hakeem Odoffin and a stoppage time Panenka penalty from Cafu...

...only for Ipswich to win through Omari Hutchinson mere seconds later and it was just enough.

Ipswich keep their automatic promotion hopes alive, and it's a crucial one after Southampton's loss.

Rotherham remain marooned at the bottom of the drop zone.

  13. GOAL: Blackpool 0-3 Peterborough

    Harrison Burrows (90+3 mins)

    Que sera sera...

    Posh are heading to Wembley!

Harrison Burrows makes absolutely certain with a third goal in stoppage time.

  14. 'What a win this will be'

    Ipswich 4-3 Rotherham

    Mick Mills

Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

    OMARI HUTCHINSON...WE LOVE YOU!

What a moment for the man from Chelsea. It's another important goal from the 20-year-old youngster.

What a win this will be given the circumstances.

  15. GOAL: Ipswich 4-3 Rotherham

    Omari Hutchinson (90+5 mins)

    Er, scratch that.

Rotherham would definitely have taken a point rather than this alternative, but Ipswich have had other ideas.

Omari Hutchinson fires low past Viktor Johansson on his near post after good work by Ali Al-Hamadi.

How cruel on Rotherham but it's massive for Ipswich.

  16. League Two updates

And the other two games have ended, too. Walsall cruise to a 3-0 win over Morecambe and Crawley edge out Wimbledon 1-0.

  17. GOAL: Ipswich 3-3 Rotherham

    Cafu pen (90+4 mins)

Cafu scores a penalty for Rotherham

Cafu lad, what bottle. What brazen bottle.

The Portuguese midfielder stepped up to take the penalty for Rotherham and dinked a cute little 'Panenka' chip down the middle to beat Vaclav Hladky and level.

Ipswich have let slip the lead, denting their automatic promotion bid, and Rotherham will get a point here as it stands.

Whether it's exactly what they need in their struggle against the drop - not sure.

  18. Post update

    MK Dons 1-1 Wrexham

    Paul Dixon

    BBC Three Counties Radio

A share of the points here, both goals in the first-half.

In the big scheme of things I think 1-1 is the right scoreline if you look at the opportunities created by both sides.

Wrexham had more of the ball and took advantage of having the extra man for 15 minutes, but Michael Kelly (MK 'keeper) had less to do.

  19. PENALTY

    Ipswich 3-2 Rotherham

Rotherham get a penalty in stoppage time!

  20. FULL-TIME

    MK Dons 1-1 Wrexham

This game ends 1-1, in goals and red cards. Wrexham can't take full advantage of Stockport's failure to win. A good night for Mansfield.
