  1. Cardiff out to end losing runpublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February

    Cardiff v Blackburn (19:45 GMT)

Cardiff have been on a miserable run that has seen them lose six of their past seven matches in all competitions - including the last three in a row.

The Bluebirds have dropped from ninth to 14th in the league in that time and lost the reverse fixture against Blackburn 1-0 at Ewood Park.

Rovers have had one win, one draw and one defeat in a mixed return to the club for John Eustace, who succeeded Jon Dahl Tomasson as head coach earlier this month.

The Lancashire club, who sit three places and three points below the Bluebirds, will be boosted by the fact Cardiff have lost each of their past three games in the Championship.

They have the league's top scorer to call on in Sammie Szmodics, who has 18 goals in 30 matches so far.

You have to go all the way back to April 1993 - 31 years ago - for Plymouth's last league win against the Baggies.

Having gone six games in all competitions without defeat, the Pilgrims have lost three of their past four, against Leeds and Sunderland in the league and Leeds again after extra-time in the FA Cup fourth round replay at Home Park.

West Brom currently sit best of the rest in fifth place behind automatic promotion-chasers Leicester, Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich.

The two sides played out a dismal 0-0 draw at The Hawthorns in October - let's hope for more excitement at Home Park tonight!

  3. Millers set for the grind at Ipswichpublished at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February

Rotherham fans looking for omens... better keep looking.

Not only are Leam Richardson's side without a win in nine games but the Millers haven't won away from the New York Stadium since November 2022 and a visit to Portman Road is a formidable ask.

Ipswich have lost just one of the last 31 league games on their home patch and that came against Leeds in August.

They too had a bit of wobble but Kieran McKenna has straightened things out and a 4-0 win over Millwall and a 2-1 victory at Swansea have reinvigorated their form.

Only the six-and-a-half-hour round trip for those Millers fans and players...

  4. Saints and Tigers put form on the linepublished at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February

    Southampton v Hull (19:45 GMT)

Southampton roared back to life in the Championship following their first loss in 26 games with an impressive dispatching of West Bromwich Albion in their last outing.

Russell Martin's side got back on the proverbial horse to keep up their seemingly relentless pursuit of the automatic promotion spots, having risen from as low as 15th place back in September to the cusp of the top two.

Tonight sees Liam Rosenior's Hull City arrive in town with their own promotion aims, and four wins from five have propelled them within sight of the play-offs.

With youthful talent such as Jaden Philogene and Fabio Carvalho in their ranks, there's much to admire about the Tigers.

Tonight will be a tough test, but if the visitors pass that examination then is will be an impressive barometer of their progress.
