I don't even have time to tell you Conor Bradley has replaced Joe Gomez at half-time before he shins a clearance past his own goalkeeper.

    Remarkable. Hope for Sparta?

Darwin Nunez has been directly involved in 12 goals in 12 games for Liverpool in 2024 (eight goals, four assists); the joint-most of any Premier League player across all competitions since the turn of the year (level with Kevin de Bruyne).

Nunez is literally rubbing his hands as he comes out for the second half.

Villa almost find Ollie Watkins with a long ball but he's guarded well by an Ajax defender.

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm not sure if it is a worldie [for Liverpool's third goal] but it's not far off it. If the game wasn't finished before then, it is now. Jurgen and Liverpool fans, you can relax.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Roma 2-0 Brighton

Roma go in with a two-goal advantage at the break. Paulo Dybala broke the Brighton offside trap to put the hosts ahead with the goal given after a VAR check, before Romelu Lukaku pounced on Lewis Dunk's error to make it 2-0.

Brighton have caused problems through the impressive Simon Adingra and hit the post with Mile Svilar also making good saves. But it is all to do for Roberto de Zerbi's side, who will be fearing being out of this tie before it gets back to the Amex.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Roma 2-0 Brighton

Everything good for Brighton is coming down their left from the pace and trickery of Simon Adingra.

His cross is met by Danny Welbeck's header but Mile Svilar does excellently to acrobatically tip it over the top.
