    Sparta Prague 0-2 Liverpool

Sparta are better at attacking than defending I would say. Jan Kuchta flicks a shot over from Angelo Preciado's cross.

    Sparta Prague 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool have scored exactly 1,000 goals under Jurgen Klopp with Darwin Nunez getting the landmark goal.

How many more will be scored before he leaves in the summer?

    Roma 1-0 Brighton

Good play from Roma centre-forward Romelu Lukaku. He holds up the ball and plays it wide left to Leonardo Spinazzola. Lukaku gets in the box and is on the end of the resulting cross, but can't keep the header down.

  4. Postpublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Ajax 0-0 Aston Villa

Ajax have a free-kick about 25 yards out. Captain Jordan Henerson places it. And has a crack - but it sails well over the bar.

    Does Henderson take free-kicks?

  5. Postpublished at 18:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Roma 1-0 Brighton

It has been a good response from Brighton since falling behind. Simon Adingra with a stepover-and-go to get some space down the left flank and he hangs up a tempting cross, which is met by Danny Welbeck's header.

But Mile Svilar in the home goal moves across his line quickly to get something on it and keep it out with a decent save.

    Ajax 0-0 Aston Villa

Not for the first time Ajax try to find striker Brian Brobbey with a long ball over Villa's high defensive line, and also not for the first time Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez comes to the edge of his box to clear.

There is nothing on there, The bend he gets is unbelievable. You can watch that all day long. That is what pure quality gets you. That was the very definition of a worldie.

GOAL - Sparta Prague 0-2 Liverpoolpublished at 18:10 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Darwin Nunez (25 mins)

    Brilliant!

Liverpool soak up some Sparta Prague pressure and then Darwin Nunez curls a beauty of a shot home from 20 yards.

It's swerving a bit but very central and the keeper should do better.

  13. Postpublished at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Sparta Prague 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool keeper Caoihmhin Kelleher needs some treatment after an awkward landing after catching a cross. He's fine though.

  14. Postpublished at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Sparta Prague 0-1 Liverpool

Another good save from Caoimhin Kelleher as Sparta keep the pressure on from a corner, this time to keep out a flicked-on header.

Is it reasonable to say at 25, Kelleher deserves to be a first-team regular somewhere?

  15. Postpublished at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Roma 1-0 Brighton

Paulo Dybala has scored 12 goals in his last 14 appearances at the Stadio Olimpico, including six in his most recent five games.

Roma have now scored nine first-half goals in nine games in this competition and only Bayer Leverkusen (11) have scored more in this season's Europa League.

  17. Postpublished at 18:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Sparta Prague 0-1 Liverpool

The wind is in Sparta's sails now. Ibrahima Konate blocks Angelo Preciado and then gets in the way of the same player's shot.

  20. Postpublished at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2024

    Sparta Prague 0-1 Liverpool

Whaaaaaat?! How have Liverpool not been pegged back?

Out of nowhere, Lukas Haraslin has a big chance in the box from a right-wing ball.

Caoimhin Kelleher makes an excellent one-handed save but the ball is still heading towards goal, only to be cleared off the line by Joe Gomez.
