  3. Rodgers looking for 'clinical' Celticpublished at 11:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Motherwell v Celtic (12:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is urging his side to be more "clinical" at Fir Park this afternoon.

"I think being clinical is one aspect that is very important," he told BBC Scotland. "For us, we've had a good week's training. The analysis of last week's [1-1 draw with Kilmarnock], we should win the game.

"Like we have on a number of occasions, we conceded late and handed over the initiative. We created the anxiety and the pressure for ourselves."

On Tomoki Iwata's inclusion, Rodgers added: "He can give us defensive stability. He's been out for a while so it's about getting him up to speed.

"It also puts Callum McGregor in a more dynamic position going forward. We've probably missed that dynamism in midfield with the likes of [Reo] Hatate being out, so he'll bring us that."

As well as Rangers' win, there were big victories for Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Ross County and St Mirren on Saturday.

Hibs narrowed the gap to sixth-placed Dundee to two points with a 2-1 victory over the Dark Blues at Easter Road.

At Rugby Park, a goal in each half secured three points for Kilmarnock against Aberdeen, strengthening Killie's position in fourth.

It was a similar story in Paisley as St Mirren defeated St Johnstone 2-0. The Buddies are fifth.

And in Dingwall, Ross County opened up an eight-point advantage over bottom side Livingston with a 3-2 victory over the West Lothian side. County are within two points of St Johnstone.

This is how the Scottish Premiership table looks this morning.

The incentive for Motherwell is the prospect of overtaking Aberdeen into eighth with either a draw or a win.
