Given Everton’s recent losses, points deductions and in-field form, they’ll get relegated soon enough. If they do, they’ll go out of business. The new stadium may be a bridge too far.

Teasing ball in from Pablo Sarabia and Maxime Esteve had to make a crucial interception to stop it reaching Leon Chiwome.

From the corner, again Matt Doherty is allowed to creep in at the back post and head it across goal.

This time it's a Burnley player that reacts first.

    Newcastle 1-0 Everton

    Phil Jagielka
Former Everton & Sheffield United defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Every single game seems to be do or die at the moment.

We have just come off the back of the last international break, draws don't do much for teams fighting at the top or the bottom, and there are points deductions to come into play at some point too.

There are enough games and enough points to play for that teams are going for the maximum.

Pressure starting to build again at Turf Moor. Wilson Odobert forces Jose Sa into a diving save as Burnley win another corner.

  20. Postpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 2 April

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

Not much to report from this one, which has a very middle of the table feel to it. The poor weather hasn't helped the quality of the match to be fair.
