  3. 'Maybe a draw was the right result'published at 22:48 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes speaking to TNT Sport: "Yeah I'd have taken [a point] before the game because Tottenham are a really good team.

"Everybody knows Tottenham's style. We had to do some changes ourselves to try to eliminate that. We did a good job ourselves. Credit to the lads, they kept at it. We were a threat with a lot of good things we did.

"I genuinely thought we didn't deserve to go behind tonight. But the players did a good job. We had a threat and so did they - they are a good side and that's why they are challenging for the Champions League. Maybe a draw was the right result in the end.

"I'm sure after the way we played on the weekend, to see the way the defence played tonight, we looked much more organised... We had set-pieces, we had chances, so overall hopefully it will give us good confidence."

  4. 'Dyche has gone down safer route'published at 22:48 British Summer Time 2 April

Rather than trying to find a different option to score goals Sean Dyche has maybe gone down the safer route of trying not to concede as many goals. So if they do get a set piece or counter attack, and get a goal, there is a good chance they ill keep a clean sheet.

He has approached it that way rather than putting another striker on or putting in someone more creative from the start.

It costs a lot of money to buy a striker who is going to score goals in the Premier League, it is difficult. There are also about twenty other teams that are trying to do the same thing.

There is no obvious answer in the Everton squad as an alternative to Dominic Calvert-Lewin than Beto, and he unfortunately hasn't scored the goals when he has played either.

  5. 'Picking up points is never easy'published at 22:47 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

    West Ham United

More from West Ham boss David Moyes to BBC MOTD: "Both teams put an awful lot of effort into the game to try to get the winner. It was a tight game, a London derby and Tottenham are a very good side. I thought the team did a good job.

"We were a threat from open play and set-pieces. Their possession is difficult to deal with but I thought we did well defensively.

"I think we had most of the play for the first two or three minutes and [their goal] was the first time they were in the box. We showed resilience tonight. We had much more structure to the defence. We have good players up front and are not bad from set-pieces so can try to get something from it. We were a bit unlucky not to nick something at the end."

On Kurt Zouma: "He did a brilliant job on [Son Heung-min] tonight. We wanted people to stand up. We wanted some leadership and the two centre-halves played really well tonight.

"We feel as if we dropped some points last weekend but we've now taken four off Tottenham this season. If you'd have told me that before the start of the season I'd have shaken your hand and walked away.

"I'm pleased with the point because we needed it. This time of the year there is a lot of draws with so many people fighting for different things. Picking up points is never easy."

On Jarrod Bowen: "He's been marvelous for us. Every game he's top. He's a threat and is a great lad - he tries to do all the work for the team. He's in top form at the moment."

  6. 'We woke up too late'published at 22:45 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"Disappointing. Performance first half was that we were not there at all. That is the reality. The first time that has happened since 2021, the way we play and start the game. You can start the game on the backfoot sometimes but it was not clear what happened. Too slow, not solid enough, eveyrhing we planned for the game wasn't there in teh first half.

"The reaction was there in the second half but we woke up too late.

"It wasn't the fault of the three players that came off at all, in that moment if I could change more I would have. I don't want to do all the subs in that moment but it wasn't them. We needed Tom Cairney to keep us calm and I knew he would do that with better circulation in our build-up and organisation. In that moment I made those substitutions because we needed a different type of things.

"We were not clinical in the second half. We created enough to have a different result after a bad first half but football is from the start and the damage was already there. Our aim was to not let the damage get bigger in the second half and we did that. We have to go to the next one.

"They have to be disappointed with us and they have all the reason to be. In most moments they have been pleased with us and proud. We are in this fight together and I know they will be there next Saturday to support the team. Tonight, they should be disappointed with us because we didn't perform as we should do."

  7. 'Disappointed we're not able to push'published at 22:43 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Burnley 1-1 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil to Sky Sports: "I'm slightly disappointed that we're not able to push at this moment.

"If I wouldn't have seen this coming I would have been really disappointed in myself. But myself and Matt Hobbs both flagged these situations to the club in January.

"We warned them that we were overloading the players because it was such a small group and there was potential for injuries because we use them so often.

"We also warned them that if we lost a few attacking players it would make a big difference to what we're able to achieve.

"We flagged this to the club, but unfortunately the club weren't in a position to be able to act on it and help us. And then, two weeks after the window closed we lose a load of attackers and you aren't able to do anything about it.

"Forty-two points with the difficulties we've had is a bigger achievement than most people recognise."

  8. 'Not aggressive, not solid, not compact'published at 22:41 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva speaking to TNT Sports:

"Really disappointing evening, result and performance. Certain types of standards were not on the pitch in the first half and when this happens you are going to suffer and not reach the type of performance and standards that are most compulsory for us as a team. Of course the reaction was there in the second half but it was already too late.

"The chat at half time was clear but the damage was already too big. We had to score an early goal and we did that and we had chances to score a second then it's a different game. But they had some big moments as well. To us it was too late. We were not clinical.

"Most things that came wrong for us were during the first half, we didn't start the game. And at this level if you do that you are punished. We will have more serious conversations about that in the coming days because it's probably the first time we have started a game like this.

"Not just one thing, there were many things. The three players that came off it's not their fault. Many things, we were too slow and not dynamic, not the right moves, off the ball we were really bad. Not aggressive, not solid, not compact and any team in this league can punish you if you're not compact enough."

  9. 'We needed Semenyo'published at 22:40 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to Sky Sports about substitute Antoine Semenyo who provided the assist for the winner: "Antoine before the game was not ill but he was not feeling 100%. I think he finished really tired - but we needed him."

  10. 'A few bad weekends could drag Palace into relegation battle'published at 22:39 British Summer Time 2 April

I think Crystal Palace will be keeping their eye on other fixtures for the next couple of games now. If the teams below them don't really put any pressure on them, we're talking getting three or four points, then Palace will be absolutely fine.

However if they get a couple of bad weekends then it could be the case that they get dragged into the relegation battle. They don't quite look like they can go out and win games at the moment.

  11. 'We need to keep improving'published at 22:37 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Bournemouth

More from Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola to BBC MOTD: "It's nice to have 41 points at this moment. We still have eight games to play and have a tough schedule. We need to keep improving. We have to go game by game."

  12. 'Take the shots'published at 22:36 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC MOTD: "If you don't score a goal you can't win. We had many good situations. You need to shoot. Maybe we have to improve, be more decisive in offensive positions.

"We didn't score and one situation for Bournemouth decided the game. I would worry about it if we didn't have the situations to score. We played really well in the second half but we have to be more direct and not passing and passing. Take the shots.

"We've got Manchester City next. They come to Selhurst and it's a game we won't have a lot of possession. Maybe we will get three or four chances but we have to be efficient. If you are not efficient you can lose everywhere."

  13. 'It's absolutely clear it's not a foul'published at 22:34 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Burnley 1-1 Wolves

    Burnley

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany to BBC Match of the Day: "Another good performance. The only thing we miss is another goal.

"I always want to reflect on the game, but the goal we concede, it's just not a foul.

"The lad just slides over after he tries a pirouette. The referee's in the best position on the pitch. He just falls over and we get a set-piece against us and concede a goal.

"As much as I want to look at my team, it does seem to be the trend of this season. These moments cost us.

"It just keeps happening. I think in the last game I was definitely not right in the way I reacted, I don't want to do that. I react calmly now. But I still see the same pattern.

"I get it, we all make mistakes, but it's just too much, it's too easy. He was in the best decision. It's absolutely clear it's not a foul.

"I think I have the right to be frustrated, and seeing as I'm expressing it in the right way, I think it's fine.

"But now we have to move on and focus on the next game."

  14. 'Penalty may well be the moment that breaks the dam for Calvert-Lewin'published at 22:32 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Newcastle 1-1 Everton

Before he scored the equaliser from the spot Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a chance on the left hand side and he never looked like scoring. A confident striker in that situation runs free and slots the ball into the corner of the net, but he just didn't seem to fancy himself.

But when the penalty came and he had the chance he took it. He was brave and took a very good penalty. That may well prove to be the moment that breaks the dam for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and for Everton.

I hope it is that because they have worked hard and a lot has gone against them this season, some their own fault some not, but if he can score the goals that will definitely help their cause.

  15. 'Just a knock'published at 22:31 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

More from Ange Postecoglu on Brennan Johnson to TNT: "Yeah I think he's alright. It was just a knock from a set-piece. I think everyone got through it pretty well considering it was two games in a short space of time."

  16. 'We have to maintain our levels'published at 22:30 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglu speaking to BBC MOTD: "Yeah it was [tough physically] and it's what you expect when you come here. They are a strong team and they sit compact so you have to be patient. I thought we handled it OK. Disappointed not to get a better outcome but a tough game."

[On the goal] "It was a well-worked move. We have been working on that. A couple of other times we just weren't in the right areas."

[On Timo Werner being in better positions] "We are working with all the guys all the time to try to get a better understanding. I thought in the front third, some of our decision-making and clarity of thought let us down a little bit."

[On Yves Bissouma's performance] "I thought he was outstanding. Yves did the defensive work which was always going to be important today. The general effort from the lads was strong. It's a tough place to come.

"There's a lot of games to go still. I will be very surprised if all games aren't tight. Everyone is fighting for something. We have to maintain our levels."

  17. 'Olise could return for Man City game'published at 22:27 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 live at the Vitality Stadium

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has just spoken to me for 5 live sport and says that Michael Olise should be fit enough to play a part against Manchester City.

Glasner says it’ll only be 20 minutes and they need to be careful, but the player is desperate to get back"

  18. 'Not a bad evening'published at 22:26 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Burnley 1-1 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil to BBC Match of the Day: "Probably a fair result on the balance of play. The first half it took us a while to get to grips with them. I thought in the second half we were much more comfortable and looked really threatening.

"It was a good effort from the lads. We're not at full strength at the moment, but we're working really hard and still fighting.

"Matheus Cunha's back and a point away from home takes us past last season's tally. Not a bad evening."

On the foul that led to Wolves' equaliser: "I haven't seen it back. It looked like they had a couple of nibbles at Rayan. I haven't seen it but I thought at the time there was a foul in there. Whether it was the last one, or the one before, there were a couple of nibbles in there."

  19. Could Bournemouth sneak into Europe?published at 22:24 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to MOTD on whether the Cherries can sneak into Europe: "No. The only thing with 41 points is that you know you are safe and are going to be in the Premier League next season.

"We have smaller goals. It's good to be not so far from teams in the top 10. We want to have more points than Bournemouth have ever had in the Premier League. I think the current record is 46. There are more goals that we have to go for."

  20. 'Still have a lot to play for'published at 22:22 British Summer Time 2 April

    FT: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

    West Ham United

West Ham defender Kurt Zouma speaking to TNT Sport: "Yeah it was an intense game today. Both teams wanted to win. We finished with a draw but we gave so much energy in the game. We had to react from the weekend and I think we did well.

"The opposition are playing well but the reaction was the thing we have to take from the game. I always say to the boys we are family and that is in ups and downs. The reaction was spot on. Unfortunately we couldn't get the win but it was good for the confidence.

"It was a good game tactically overall. Hopefully we can build on that and get a good result this weekend.

"The run-in is always exciting. We still have a lot to play for and hopefully we finish in a good position."
