Anthony Gordon would have got a penalty there. Not ‘clever’ enough from Eze there as apparently that’s how the game works now where simulation is praised not condemned…

    Tom, London

Kyle: No consistency by officials. Paul Dummett grabs hold of Ashley Young and concedes a penalty rightly. Yet a Manchester City player does it and no penalty given. Awful lack of consistency.

Oliver Glasner will by far be the happier of the two managers, the way his team started and then reacted to the equaliser too.

City were dominant, went 1-0 down and then responded really well and should have gone ahead. They have made some really uncharacteristic mistakes, coming from key players such as Rodri. Two, three, four occasions where they gave the ball away in dangerous areas and should have been punished.

We know the quality City have though, they will surely make changes from the bench in the second half, but Palace will be the happier of the sides at the break.

Loving Glasner’s passion and persistent communication! He knows Palace have seen and been through the worst. A breath of fresh air!

Re 13:10 - Palace are perfectly entitled to park the bus if they want to, it's what most teams do against City - just don't complain if it's a boring watch when City have to spend ages passing it about trying to fashion an opening.

A standing ovation from both sets of fans as the players make their way to the dressing rooms. It's thoroughly deserved. This has been a good watch.

I thought Eberechi Eze went down too easy at first glance, but on the replay you can see that Josko Gvardiol has got his arms around the forward. It was a close one for sure.

The space is all down Palace's right hand side, Daniel Munoz is the outlet for them and he is getting so much joy. City are so open down that side.

While I agree that there is some overreaction to every small twist, this is the closest and most dramatic title race we've had in a while with 3 teams involved. Might not happen again for a while. I'm all for it!!

    What's happened to Rodri?

The midfielder makes yet another mistake as his loose ball inside his own box almost ends in disaster but Stefan Ortega shows good feet to get his team out of trouble with Jean-Philippe Mateta threatening to pounce.

I think Jordan Ayew had to square that ball.

Rodri was robbed twice in the middle of the pitch in such a dangerous area, and Palace were in at the City goal.

There are opportunities in this for Palace, but they need to make sure that they take them.

Palace came into this without a win in four and just one in their previous eight games.

They're certainly given a good account of themselves this half.

The question is: will they keep it up?

Man City pass the ball around like there's no one else on the pitch, pure class.

    John A

Don't get the 'park the bus' comments. What are Palace meant to do - roll over for a team that has depth and resources they can't match?

    Mark, London

Palace need to keep the ball. Play the easy pass. Pass backwards, get City frustrated and then launch the odd ball over the top. It's not pretty. It's not clever. It will work and this City side can be beaten. Palace players need to step up and give City a game.

Palace are sitting deep, trying to keep compact and tight, but their creative talents are working so hard that when they do get the ball they are almost too tired to impact the game.

Eberechi Eze and Jordan Ayew are working their socks off back there.
