Man Utd are such a bizarre team. They have some high-quality players and can produce moments of magic. But they don't appear to have any idea what the plan is, defend comically and leave acres of space. It's entertaining, but not in the way they'd like it to be.

Casemiro flicks it on to Alejandro Garnacho as United build a positive attack on the edge of the box.

But it comes back to Casemiro in an offside position and it's a free-kick to Bournemouth.

This is going to be another one of those long 'shoulda-woulda-coulda' performances by United, where Erik ten Hag will possibly claim we were in charge and going well... again?!

Kerkez is caught in two minds though, he pulls out of the tempting volley and can't bring the ball down before it crosses the backline.

  12. 'Hardest task has been keeping morale going'published at 17:48 British Summer Time 13 April

    FT: Brentford 2-0 Sheff Utd

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to Sky Sports: "Nothing in the game. Obviously the second goal goes in deep into stoppage time when we're chasing it. The scoreline is what it is. I thought it was a tight affair. Tactically, two teams set up in a different way. They couldn't find their killer moment first half or even at the start of the second half. We couldn't as well.

"Brentford will say they earned their first goal. We will say we were a bit unfortunate. I think if we had got in front it would have been an interesting afternoon.

"I don't really assess the league table. I assess the next performance. We're all disappointed. We thought it was a good opportunity. No disrespect. They are under a little bit of pressure at home. We're in OK nick in terms of the performance levels over the past four games since the Arsenal defeat.

"It's been a positive week but we've got to make sure we have a positive Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately it ends in not the way we wanted it to. It has been the hardest task to keep morale going. I've got no problem with the attitude of the players."

  15. 'We needed to win this game and we could not achieve it.'published at 17:48 British Summer Time 13 April

    FT: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Wolves

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to PLP: "Tough game, tough to describe. In the first half it was very, very slow, no tempo, which is not good for us . We conceded two easy goals, but we reacted well and in the second half we had chances to win the game, but unfortunately we could not do it. We needed to win this game.

On the game plan: "To win in. Tactically we tried to press Wolves as they build with a back three, putting them under pressure, not allowing them to play. It wasn't alway possible.

"We needed this game, the urgency that we have on points and we could not achieve it.

On the relegation battle: "It is tough but we have to fight until the end. We have a lot of tough games ahead of us so we need to keep going and try to improve in the next game at Everton.

On Morgan Gibbs-White: "He did well. Not all the players can I say the same. We have to have higher individual standards across the team, but Morgan did well. He handled the game well.

On defensive issues: "With all my respect to Wolves we were the team that were dominant and we allowed them in individual, sporadic actions to score.

On the reception from Wolves fans: "We did great things together for many years, just love and respect for the club and the fans."

  19. 'It's not Muric's fault, it's ours'published at 17:43 British Summer Time 13 April

    FT: Burnley 1-1 Brighton

    Burnley

Burnley assistant coach Craig Bellamy speaking to Sky Sports: "Good game. We played well especially first half, created a lot of chances against an outstanding team. They are manager by a brilliant manager, have outstanding players but we've bene playing really well.

"The penalty I'm not sure on I thought he got the ball. I have no complaints for that. Jakub missed a big chance and those moments against a team of quality you have to make them count. that was probably the most disappointing part of today but apart from that it was a good performance.

"We were able to get through the lines and move the ball well, the gaps opened up and we were able to find them. Got ourselves in good positions and today it was just the final finish."

On their goal: "Deflection and Browny [Josh Brownhill] chases it down and it works out in our favour. Plenty of times that doesn't but it was perfect for us. Bart [Verbruggen] is an outstanding goalkeeper and it was a bit of a rub of the green we thought we deserved in the game."

On Muric's mistake for the goal conceded: "It's the way we play. It happens. It's not his fault it's our fault. It's how we play and it's not Aro's fault, it's our fault. We take full responsibility for that."

On relegation: "We work to win, we try to score. We've done it quite well all season but the points haven't' shown that. A couple of games in this league we haven't been at the level we'd like but only a few. The attitude has been outstanding and through the week you go into it feeling you can win the next one. We thought this was a good opportunity for us, it wasn't to be. We're aware of the situation we're in and the games that are left but we'll be working all week again to try and get those points."

He apologises to his team-mate. It's a lovely evening down south.

United go on the attack down the left shortly afterwards but Alejandro Garnacho's cross isn't met in the box.

Kobbie Mainoo retains possession and goes down just inside. There's no contact and no appeals for a penalty.
