An incredible performance by Aston Villa. Given the form Aston Villa have been in and the the form Arsenal have been in, that's a big result. Arsenal's energy was off in the second half, Mikel Arteta's changes didn't work and Villa were able to see the game out quite comfortably. That is a huge, huge result for Villa.

Arsenal's title hopes are dented. Aston Villa's top-four bid is boosted.

The Emirates has basically emptied. The time is almost up.

Unai Emery is pacing that penalty area. This two minutes can't go quick enough for the Spaniard.

Declan Rice takes a frustrated swipe at the ball from 40-yards out and it sails over the bar.

It would take something special at this point but that wasn't it.

Diego Carlos has been magnificent for Aston Villa, a brilliant defensive display. He has been in the right place at the right time, so often. It's outrageous, it really is.

It is the first time Arsenal have trailed in a match in 2024.

That is quite an incredible stat, but not the time in the season they would want it to change.

Arsenal are probing for a goal but Aston Villa are defending like mad and the home side just can't worm their way through.

Looks like there was a clash of heads in that busy box, too.

Who else has got images of Pep Guardiola sat on his sofa at home, cracking open a bottle of wine with a wry smile on his face?

We'll have eight minutes added on at the Emirates. Eight minutes for Arsenal to salvage something in this game, and this title race.

What a finish. Ollie Watkins, the audacity, the composure to dink it over David Raya. He's definitely not offside. Emile Smith Rowe is desperately trying to get back in. Watkins takes it onto his right foot, it possibly takes a nick off Smith Rowe. It's a wonderful finish, incredible. Incredible.

It's getting ever better for Man City. Bailey on the far post. They do a really good job of recycling possession. It's a really good ball. It's Pau Torres who darts across the near post and Bailey is there on the far post, on a tight-ish angle. Lucas Digne got down the left and fire the ball across. The ball evades everyone and it's a really good finish on Bailey's weaker right foot. That is a huge, huge goal in this title race.
