  12. Cracking tie edged by Rangers so farpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    HT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers

    Kheredine Idessane

    Good cup-tie, this.

Rangers deservedly ahead, on the balance of play, with David Marshall making a couple of good saves - including from James Tavernier's penalty, but he wasn't helped out by his fellow defenders as John Lundstram was first to react.

It could all have been so different when Jack Butland hesitated on a back-pass and Myziane Maolida blocked his attempted clearance on to the post.

Two injuries, to Dujon Sterling and a particularly nasty-looking one for Martin Boyle, have punctuated this one, taking some of the fizz out of a game that's otherwise been bubbling away nicely.

Hibs' creative players Marcondes, Youan and Maolida will have to do more or Rangers will join Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final draw.
