An unhappy Steven Naismith makes two changes.

Dexter Lembikisa and the just-booked Jorge Grant are off for Alex Cochrane and Nat Atkinson.

Oh my goodness, I cannot type quick enough.

Darragh O'Connor, that is tremendous defending.

Stephen Kinsgley swings one into the corridor of uncertainty. 'Keeper Ryan Mullen is in no-man's land but his centre-half is there to fire the ball high into the sky, just above the goal, to stop Kenneth Vargas nipping in with a tap-in.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 55 mins

    Morton 0-0 Hearts

This is madness. End to end.

Lewis Strapp is next to call Craig Gordon into a magnificent save with his feet.

  5. CLOSE!published at 54 mins

    Morton 0-0 Hearts

    How is this still 0-0?!

Jack Baird with a free header at the backpost, he has to bury that header!

It's lacking oomph, and Craig Gordon is able to get across and parry it away.

    Morton 0-0 Hearts

Stephen Kingsley plops a fantastic ball right on the noggin of Beni Baningime, yards out, he powers his header off-target.

A huge chance. Probably the best the game.

Hearts really have to get their act together or they will find themselves on the end of a cup shock here.

    Warra move.

Tyler French loops one to the backpost where Robbie Muirhead is lurking. He plays it into Robbie Crawford's path, but the striker is not on the same wavelength and just fails to put the brakes on.

That was cute from Muirhead. Inches away from coming off.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2024

    Morton 0-0 Hearts

We're back at it under the Cappielow lights.

It's extra-time and penalties if the score remains the same in 45 minutes or so...

I've been really disappointed with Hearts. They have been so passive, I do not think they have really grasped where they are and the type of game Morton are playing.

Even though it's 0-0, I I think Morton will be thrilled with how they have controlled the game.

So we've got a re-run of last season's final and a semi-final between two sides taking to the Hampden turf for the first time.

Those ties will take place the weekend of 27 April.

We're quickly turning our attention away from tonight's action as Jane Lewis is about to bring us the women's Scottish Cup semi-final draw with Jim Leighton.

In the mix are last season's winners Celtic and runners-up Rangers. So too are Hearts and Spartans, who will both make their Hampden debut in their final four ties.

    Here's how they got here.

  16. 'Grant's got to up his game'published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2024

Jorge Grant looks like he's getting a different football education down here. He's not used to this type of football.

He is wanting that extra half yard all the time and he is not going to get that at Cappielow.

I think he has got to up his game, up his tempo. He is nowhere near Lawrence Shankland and I think Hearts need a lot more from him and the other forward players.

  17. 'Morton rarely under the cosh'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2024

    HT: Morton 0-0 Hearts

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Cappielow

Steven Naismith has been a frustrated figure down there, urging his players to up the pace in the game and put the Morton defence under the cosh.

They didn't do that too often in the first-half at all.

  18. HALF-TIME Morton 0-0 Heartspublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2024

No clear-cut chances in a rapid 45 minutes of action at Cappielow.

The home camp will certainly be happier at half-time, Hearts have offered very little down in Greenock.

    Aaaanddd it comes to nothing.

Robbie Muirhead goes for goal 30-yards out, but he doesn't catch it the way he wants to and it's more than comfortable for Craig Gordon.

Smothering them up in his sleep.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43 mins

    Morton 0-0 Hearts

Cammy Devlin is the first Hearts player to enter the book.

He catches Robbie Muirhead a little late and after a bit of a delay, Morton have a free-kick in a promising area.
