Diomande is never going to score from there, it is a very difficult angle.

It was always going to be comfortable for Trubin in goals.

Mohamed Diomande tries to shape one from the right of the box.

For me, Dessers has got to be stronger. I do not see a foul there.

  5. CLOSE!published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

What a ball from James Tavernier.

He curls a beauty into the box from the right, Cyriel Dessers hits the deck, then it comes off a Benfica body and just rolls wide.

Dessers wants a penalty for the coming together, no chance.

    Magnificent from Wright.

I'll tell you what, the vision to see Dessers had peeled off was first class.

    It's a good challenge.

  9. CLOSE!published at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

    Rangers 0-0 Benfica (agg 2-2)

Superb from Scott Wright, who spins and drives and finds Cyriel Dessers.

The Rangers striker feints then aims for the far corner, but it deflects and bounces just wide.

Mikel Arteta has made it clear David Raya is his number one over Aaron Ramsdale.

Jack Butland has been playing very, very well up here and I'm surprised he's not in the squad [instead].

    I'm disappointed for him.

Let's see what Mr McCoist thought of that...

  15. Silent Cyrielpublished at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

HT: Rangers 0-0 Benfica (agg 2-2)

Plenty of hard yards from Cyriel Dessers at the top of the pitch but very little action on the ball.

The Rangers striker has had just five touches in the first half, with just one in the Benfica box.

  16. 'Fascinating watch'published at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

HT: Rangers 0-0 Benfica (agg 2-2)

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

    It's been interesting.

Maybe not as much goalmouth action as we would have liked to have seen but it's been fascinating to watch.

Rangers had a long, long spell in that first half where they had decent control but didn't have anything concrete in terms of cutting open the Benfica defence.

  17. Main event still to unfoldpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

It's nip and tuck, to and fro and this could really go either way.

Both have had decent chances. Both have shown a desire to get through this tie. Both have coped well with treacherous conditions.

It's been a fantastic watch and remains absolutely in the balance.

We're no clearer on who will progress.
