  1. Sun shining in Cumbriapublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Barrow 1-0 Newport

    Adam Johnson
    BBC Radio Cumbria Sport

There is certainly no heat coming from that sun, but a lot of glare from it!

  2. goal

GOAL: Notts County 1-1 Salfordpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Dan Crowley (53 mins)

Notts badly need to finish the season strongly and have levelled at home to Salford.

Second-half sub Jim O'Brien sends a ball into the middle which deflects back to Dan Crowley.

He pings a fine half-volley into the top corner from 15 yards for his 15th of the season.

  3. Postpublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

Bright start to the second half from Burton as Joe Powell puts the ball into the box and it's bouncing all over the place. It falls to John Brayford who gets a shot off through a crowd of players but it goes wide.

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Barrow 1-0 Newport

End-to-end stuff at Holker Street to start the second half.

Ben Whitfield's chip across goal is headed over from close range by Cole Stockton before Newport go down the other end where Will Evans is denied by a sprawling save from Paul Farman at the near post.

  6. Chesterfield on brink of EFL returnpublished at 16:02 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Jamie GrimesImage source, PA Media

It's incredible how much teams want to be part of the Saturday afternoon EFL Live Text on the BBC Sport website...

Chesterfield are 45 minutes away from promotion from the National League.

They only need to avoid defeat at home to strugglers Boreham Wood today and are winning 1-0 at the halfway point thanks to skipper Jamie Grimes' 28th-minute goal.

Paul Cook's Spireites could seal a return to League Two, having dropped out of it in 2018, in about an hour's time if they hold on.

  7. League Two half-time headlinespublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    • Wrexham are 3-0 up at Grimsby and set to go into second, three points behind leaders Mansfield.
    • Barrow lead Newport 1-0 as they look to strengthen their play-off place
    • Play-off rivals Crewe and AFC Wimbledon are locked at 1-1
    • Fast-starting Crawley have leapfrogged into the final play-off spot at half-time thanks to a 2-1 lead at Tranmere
    • Bottom side Sutton have a precious 1-0 lead at home to Accrington and as it stands will move within a point of safety
    • Doncaster have had the better of a goalless first half against Forest Green who know a fifth win in nine matches will move them out of the drop zone.
    • Morecambe have been pegged back to 1-1 at home to Gillingham as both sides hunt a play-off berth
    • And lowly Salford are 1-0 up on Notts County at Meadow Lane
  8. League One half-time headlinespublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    #bbcefl

    • Second-placed Derby trail Northampton 1-0 at Sixfields. The Cobblers have never beaten Derby in 13 meetings in all competitions.
    • Bottom side Carlisle who have lost 12 of their last 13 league games lead Stevenage 1-0.
    • And it remains 0-0 in the game between Burton and second from bottom Port Vale.
  9. Goalless at the Pirelli Stadiumpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    HT: Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Phil Sproson
Former Port Vale captain on BBC Radio Stoke

They (Vale) just cannot score goals, are so low on confidence and are desperate for someone up top who can score goals.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Northampton 1-0 Derby

Northampton lead Derby 1-0 thanks to Sam Hoskins' goal.

Work to do for Paul Warne's Rams side as they look to keep the pressure on at the top of the League One table.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Crewe 1-1 AFC Wimbledon

John-Kymani Gordon swept the visitors ahead after just four minutes but the hosts levelled through Rio Adebisi's blast on 13 minutes.

Since then it's been the hosts who have had the best of it but it's pretty cagey, plenty at stake for both sides with play-off and automatic promotion implications for the winner.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Grimsby 0-3 Wrexham

Andy Cannon is the slightly unlikely Wrexham hero with a first-half double and Paul Mullin added a superb third just before the break and the Red Dragons are certainly in flames.

As it stands they are just three points off the top of the table and if they can replicate this performance on their travels in their remaining games, few would bet against them playing in League One next season.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Carlisle 1-0 Stevenage

Daniel Butterworth's goal for bottom of the table Carlisle has them in front at the break against Stevenage.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

No goals at the Pirelli Stadium as both sides struggle to make a breakthrough.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Barrow 1-0 Newport

Cole Stockton's venomous low strike from an angle has put Barrow ahead at the break in a game which they have bossed, but which has been severely hampered by the blustery conditions in Cumbria.

The Bluebirds remain sixth in the live table but are only four points adrift of the automatic promotion places, as it stands.

  16. 'Four chances, three goals' for Wrexhampublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Grimsby 0-3 Wrexham

    Gary Croft
Former Grimsby defender on BBC Radio Humberside

It is looking like a big uphill battle now.

Town are playing a good side here, but they look a little soft at the back.

    Wrexham have been really solid.

They have only had four chances, they put one over and scored with the other three.

  17. goal

GOAL: Grimsby 0-3 Wrexhampublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Paul Mullin (42 mins)

They're on it today. What a finish this is from Paul Mullin, his sixth goal in as many games.

The ball breaks to Jacob Mendy on the edge of the box, his fierce strike cannons off a defender and drops towards the far post where Mullin is lurking to produce a technically superb hooked volley back across goal and past Harvey Cartwright's left hand. He's handy, him.

Surely that's game over before the half-time oranges have even been sliced.

    Ryan GiggsImage source, Getty Images

Salford could do with a win to ease their fears of the drop and have the lead at Notts County.

With Ryan Giggs watching on, Conor McAleny drives at goal and drills a lovely low finish into the bottom corner.

Notts won the reverse fixture back in September - a result which sent them top. They now sit 14th.

  19. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Northampton 1-0 Derby

Derby have responded well since going a goal down as Ebou Adams has had a couple of decent chances.

First he has an effort that is cleared off the line by Sam Sherring.

They go forward again as Kane Wilson finds Adams with a cross but his heads it into the ground and it bounces over the crossbar.

  20. 'I wish I had a pound on it'published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

I am not sure we have actually yet had an attempt on target, but they have gained a corner.

Stand by for a free-kick against Ryan Sweeney on the goalkeeper here...

And there you have it, I wish I had a pound on it.

The referee is called David Rock, you would have thought he would like physical contact.
