    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Great play from Jess Naz to create another opening for Spurs.

She bamboozles stand-in Leicester left back Janice Cayman before delivering a dangerous cross into the middle. None of her teammates are alive to the ball though and it flashes harmlessly across the six yard box.

  3. 'Tottenham have to take their chances'published at 12:21 British Summer Time 14 April 2024

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Jutta Rantala was one of the players I picked before the game. Tottenham have had plenty of chances and not put them away.

Leicester might only get one chance this half and Rantala has put that one away. Tottenham have to take their chances.

You can't allow a player like that to have so much time and space. This is a player you have seen time and time again use both her right and left foot to score goals.

This game is already ebbing and flowing. Tottenham piled pressure on earlier with two big chances for Celin Bizet.

Since the goal from Jutta Rantala, it's been all Leicester.

The noise has dipped in the stadium slightly as a result.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

First booking of the game goes to Amy James-Turner.

She wipes out a Leicester forward and deservedly sees her name enter the referee's notebook.

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Incidentally that goal for Jutta Rantala has put her level with Spurs striker Bethany England for most goals scored by a WSL player in the Women's FA Cup this season.

Both players are now on three goals and you can bet each has an eye on extending their tallies in what remains of this game.

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Since the goal it has been all Leicester.

They struggled for composure on the ball in the opening ten minutes or so but they have been galvanised by the goal and could well have been two goals to the good.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Almost a second goal for Leicester.

Janice Cayman skips past two Tottenham defenders and slides Deanne Rose into the left hand side of the box.

Rose cuts the ball back to Sam Tierney but her side footed effort is blocked by the legs of Becky Spencer.

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

Tottenham look for an immediate response, Grace Clinton breaking into the box and aiming at goal.

Her shot is tame though and Lize Kop gets her body behind it to dispell the danger for Leicester.

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

    What a goal!

Far too much respect, you know what a player like her can do.

She cuts in on her left foot and it's an absolute rocket from Jutta Rantala. You can't allow her to that!

GOAL - Tottenham 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 14 April 2024

    Jutta Rantala (12 mins)

    She's done it again!

Leicester's quarter final hero Jutta Rantala with a rocket to give her side the lead.

She cuts inside from the right, steps around Amanda Nilden and lets fly from the edge of the box with her left foot.

A strike worthy of an FA Cup semi-final and the visitors lead.

  12. 'Too slow from Leicester'published at 12:10 British Summer Time 14 April 2024

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

Leicester are too slow in possession. Tottenham are pressing them high. It's too slow and sloppy from Leicester.

Celin Bizet and Grace Clinton are already running the show. They link-up so nicely.

There's a great crowd here today. Hopefully around 20,000 and they have been excited by those too so far.

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

Great play from Celine Bizet to hold off a tackle from Sophie Howard in the centre circle.

She executes a slick one-two with Grace Clinton to get in on goal, but she is leaning back and the ball flies harmlessly over the crossbar.

  15. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

After that early scare hosts Tottenham have really stepped up the tempo.

Buoyed by the noise from the home crowd they are making all the early running in this game.

  16. CLOSE!published at 7 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

Almost the opener for the hosts!

Grace Clinton pirouettes in the middle of the park before playing a lovely through ball into the box for Celine Bizet.

Lize Kop does well to get down and block the low effort with her feet.

  17. 'Good play from Tottenham'published at 12:05 British Summer Time 14 April 2024

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

Jessica Naz is direct, she's an outlet. Bethany England just can't get across the defender but it's good play from Tottenham.

  18. Postpublished at 4 mins

First attack of the game for Spurs.

A lovely flick and through ball from Drew Spence sets Jess Naz down the right wing. She searches for Beth England in the middle but Lize Kop claims it in front of her goal line.

  19. 'No bigger incentive for a player'published at 12:03 British Summer Time 14 April 2024

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

Tottenham will be the favourites going into the game but at the end of the day it's an FA Cup semi-final.

You know that if you win this game you're going to Wembley with 50 or 60,000 fans. There's no bigger incentive for a player.

  20. CLOSE!published at 3 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

A huge early let off for Tottenham!

Evaliine Summanen gives the ball away in her own defensive third and Sam Tierney latches onto it for Leicester.

The forward attempts a lobbed finish from far out but her effort drops wide of the net.
