  1. Hoops hope for Swans slumppublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 1 April

    Swansea v QPR (15:00 BST)

Luke Williams has had to be patient since swapping Meadow Lane for Mumbles-way but now the Swansea boss is delivering some of the promise expected. One defeat now in six for the Swans.

Derby victory over Cardiff, which he celebrated in uniquely public fashion if social media is to be believed, was followed up by a draw at Sheffield Wednesday that at least demonstrated character with a late leveller if nothing else.

QPR are fresh from the euphoria of Jimmy Dunne's 'Roy of the Rovers' winner against fellow strugglers Birmingham last Friday, a result which lifted them a little further from the bottom three.

Marti Cifuentes' side have lost just one of the past seven and that win over the Blues ensured they were back on the winning trail after a three-game wait.

  2. Baggies bouncing, Cleverley steering Watford onpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 1 April

The Hawthorns is a venue which is living up to its name of late, a prickly habitat where West Bromwich Albion are thriving.

Albion have won seven of the last eight on their home patch and currently have a comfortable seven point buffer on those teams chasing a play-off spot.

While Carlos Corberan has enjoyed a reasonable amount of stability in achieving such a position, his opposite number Tom Cleverley has been pitched into the fray perhaps unwittingly after the departure of Valerien Ismael.

Cleverley has certainly done a decent job of turning things round since taking on the reins, beating strugglers Birmingham in his opening game, and was mere minutes away from stunning high-fliers Leeds last time out when he had to settle for a draw.

Whether or not it'll get him the job full-time is anyone's guess. But it's a welcome start. Today will pose another test.

  3. Owls desperate, Boro keen to stay in racepublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 1 April

Middlesbrough v Sheff Wed (15:00 BST)

For Sheffield Wednesday, this is a crucial game. The Owls are one of three clubs on 39 points and one of two to be sat in the relegation places in a congested bottom three.

Danny Rohl's side thought they were about to bring their winless run to an end last Friday but were caught by a late Swansea equaliser to make it three on the spin.

Middlesbrough were the side doing the spoling on Good Friday themselves, as Emmanuel Latte Lath notched a late equaliser to deny Southampton all three points at the top.

It's still mathematically possible for the Boro to join the promotion party, but it's currently easier to get into Berlin techno mecca Berghain than it is the Championship play-off spots.

Don't count Michael Carrick's mob out of it though, there's plenty of experience in their ranks.

  4. Sky Blue thinking paying offpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 1 April

    Coventry v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

Ellis Simms celebratesImage source, Getty Images

Ellis Simms is a man on a mission right now with 12 goals in nine games, and Coventry are a team on one across the Championship and FA Cup.

Mark Robins' side have timed their rise like a marathon runner, injecting the pace at just the right time to mount a promotion challenge and they also of course have a Wembley semi-final to come.

While the Sky Blues are soaring, Cardiff's little run has come to an end in dramatic circumstances.

Derby defeat by Swansea before the international break was followed up by a meek surrender to a Sunderland side without a win in seven on Good Friday.

Erol Bulut needs to hit that reset button sharpish, this season already looks to be over.

  5. Millers doomed, Millwall seek comfortpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 April

    Rotherham v Millwall (15:00 BST)

It has been a long, tough season for Rotherham and their fans know that their time in the Championship is nigh. Fail to win today and they're cooked.

Last season's survival bucked their yo-yoing trend but staying afloat in the choppy waters of the second tier has been a step too far.

Goals are a problem at either end, with Hakeem Odoffin and Tom Eaves top-scoring with four apiece and 80 in 39 conceded at the back.

Just the sort of game Millwall would be licking their lips about then, as they sit just five points above the drop zone.

Neil Harris' side have lost just one of the last six but are without a win in two. The Millwall favourite would love to be sitting a little more comfortably in his bucket seat come five o'clock.

  6. Blues singin' the blues, Preston movin' on up?published at 14:38 British Summer Time 1 April

    Birmingham v Preston (15:00 BST)

    Gary RowettImage source, Getty Images

Gary Rowett's return to Birmingham as interim boss didn't provide quite the impact he would have been hoping for on Good Friday, as his side were edged in a six-pointer with QPR.

Rowett will have swiftly understood the situation as the Blues have been dragged into the relegation mire - only kept out of the bottom three on goal difference after six defeats in seven without a win.

Not a good time then to meet Preston North End, who have lost just one of the last 10 and who have sights on the play-off places.

There was a stage this season where it felt like there was a lot of scrutiny on Ryan Lowe, but he's ridden it out and with Emil Riis right in form this could be a day of rich pickings in B9.

  7. An afternoon of angst awaitspublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 1 April

    Stoke v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

There might be a few fingernails being bitten up around that icebox on the hill by the A50 this afternoon, as two clubs flirting with relegation go head-to-head in the Championship.

It's not quite what Stephen Schumacher signed up for when he took over at Stoke back in December, and probably not what the Potters expected either - the Plymouth boss was brought in to avoid such fate.

Encouragingly though they have won three of the past five and stuck a big spanner in Hull's promotion bid with victory on Good Friday.

Andre Breitenreiter's early optimism has subsided at Huddersfield, and they're without a win in five currently.

For good omens, I'm properly scraping the barrel when I tell you that Huddersfield are unbeaten in their last five league games on an Easter Monday.

    Aye, what use is that?!

It's the Foxes at the summit then as we draw a line under the early kick-off here on Easter Monday.

While Andrew takes a chance to draw breath, Matt Newsum steps up off the interchange bench to bolster the ranks to preview the 15:00 BST kick-offs.

Ian Woodcock will also be part of the team keeping you up to date come kick off.

Leicester have a lot of talent including off the bench.

Jamie Vardy makes it a party!

The Leicester captain adds a third to ensure the victory that sends the Foxes top of the table.

It is a scrappy goal, with the ball falling kindly for Vardy after Harry Winks had a shot blocked.

    Still, it counts.

Yep, when Jamie Vardy has the ball at his feet and looks to play it backwards, you know Leicester are looking to chew up time.

There is still five minutes of normal time left, and that is plenty for a late twist in this one.
