A March to forget for Scotland, but a potentially pivotal one for Northern Ireland.

Conor Bradley's first international goal the difference. Got a feeling it won't be the lad's last.

Relive the night through my colleague Nick McPheat's match report here.

Thanks for joining us tonight, take care.

Scotland had scored in their last 17 home games.

This man stopped them tonight. Although, it didn't take much from him to do so.

    Speaking of Liverpool men...

Conor Bradley's goal made him the second Liverpool player to score for Northern Ireland, after Billy Lacey against England in February 1914.

    BBC Scotland at Hampden

Even amid the boos at Hampden, most of the Tartan Army will find it difficult to be too hard on a team and manager who are comfortably the most successful Scotland team of the past 25 years.

But there are real concerns for Clarke, whose side look to have taken a backwards step after such a stellar qualifying campaign.

Friendlies or not, these games were vital if Scotland want to avoid a second straight disappointment at a second straight Euros.

The injury to Robertson is a obvious worry, but so is a serious lack of pace in attacking areas. Much is made of a lack of clinical edge from the strikers, but arguably just as glaring is a shortage of forwards who can stretch play.

As for Northern Ireland, they do not have a summer in Germany to look forward to, but their manager is demonstrating his credentials again as his second stint clicks into gear.

Bradley will be the poster boy for this young squad, but there is more than the Liverpool man to be inspired by in this team, who must now build on three very impressive results against Denmark, Romania and Scotland.

I think Callum McGregor is the best midfielder Scotland have got.

What does the Tartan Army reckon? Let's see those thumbs.

  7. Scotland's troubling runpublished at 22:54 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Northern Ireland

Scotland are winless in each of their last seven games (D2 L5) - their worst run since August 2004-March 2005.

It is also the first time they have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven consecutive games since March 2017.

With the Euros on the horizon, it's not the ideal time to be knocked off your stride.

  8. Northern Ireland starting to build consistencypublished at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Caragh Hamilton
Northern Ireland international on BBC Two

That's three teams in a row now that Northern Ireland weren't expected to beat.

I think looking back now the Romania result is actually a bit disappointing and you wouldn't think you'd be saying that with a draw, but I think the nature of the goal was disappointing and other than that they had very little chances.

Three really resilient performances and it could have been three clean sheets and wins.

  9. 'NI game plan successful'published at 22:49 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Shelley Kerr
Former Scotland head coach on BBC Scotland

Northern Ireland came here with a game plan. They had controlled aggression and pace on the break.

Scotland struggled to create any space. It was tough for us.

Michael O'Neill was very open and honest at the start about where Northern Ireland were at the beginning of the campaign, we had to grow and learn.

You have to go through those periods of grinding out games and building resilience and now those moments are starting to show.

It seems to have got a bit lost, given it occurred right when his club pal was scoring his first international goal, but Andy Robertson hirpled off in the first half.

Player reaction speaks volumes, and it wasn't a positive one at the time...

  13. Bradley 'buzzing' to score winnerpublished at 22:39 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Connor BradleyImage source, SNS

Northern Ireland's matchwinner Connor Bradley tells BBC Sport NI: "I'm absolutely buzzing, I don't think I could have dreamed of it going the way it did.

"I was just hoping it went in, to be honest I was buzzing when I seen it go in the top corner and I don't even know what happened after that.

"To get the 1-0 win is just fantastic and it's a great night all-round.

"I think we still have lots of places to improve, but that was a great performance. I think at times we could have been a bit better on the ball.

"To defend the way we did for the 90 minutes and keep a clean sheet here at Hampden, obviously Scotland are going to the Euros and they are a great side full or Premier League players, it is just brilliant."

  15. Should Shankland start?published at 22:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Steven Naismith
Hearts head coach & former Scotland forward on BBC Scotland

The conversation used to be whether Lawrence Shankland was worth taking to the Euros.

The conversation now is whether he should start at the Euros.

He's the best finisher we have.

Lyndon Dykes could have worked all night and never been in a position where he looked threating. Che Adams, too.

Lawrence Shankland was popping stuff around. I think he should get some game time in the next two games.

  19. A quiet night for Peacock-Farrellpublished at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Stuart Dallas
Northern Ireland midfielder on BBC Two NI

Michael O'Neill will be over the moon about the defensive performance tonight.

They had to soak up a lot of pressure, but Bailey Peacock-Farrell didn't have many saves to make until the end.

Scotland had 82% of it tonight.

But they fleetingly troubled Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
