You've got to fancy City now. Real's decision to park the bus might well prove their undoing here. Modric won't have long to make a difference, and City's backs are up!

We are at that point where it is getting quite tense and Pep Guardiola is prone to quite emotional gestures.
When Kevin de Bruyne missed just then, the Manchester City boss had his head buried in his hands for what seemed ages.
It must be quite stressful being a manager.

Real just can't keep the ball. Brahim Diaz fouls Bernardo Silva with his first touch.
Bayern 1-0 Arsenal (agg: 3-2)
Raphaël Guerreiro does really well to win a free-kick off Ben White as Bayern break.
White is booked for it too.

Kevin de Bruyne has been directly involved in 24 goals for Manchester City in the knockout stages of the Champions League (13 goals, 11 assists), the most by a player for an English club in the competition (overtaking Wayne Rooney's 23 for Manchester United).

I don't know how Kevin de Bruyne has missed it.
De Bruyne will not get an easier chance than that, 16 yards out with nobody around him!

Real Madrid bring on Brahim Diaz, who was on City's books from 2015 to 2019, for goalscorer Rodrygo.

As an Arsenal fan I might start a petition to have April removed from the calendar.

That was so so coming. Madrid parked the bus and City were passing it around too easily, as usual. Nothing like last nights matches!

Kevin de Bruyne's third big chance in a few minutes (including his goal). He should do better with this one but he lifts a first-time shot from 16 yards over the bar.
I'm sure City fans will let him off there.
Man City 1-1 Real Madrid (agg: 4-4)
You can see City scoring a winner in the final 10 minutes. Real just can't do anything the odd time they actually get the ball.
Bayern 1-0 Arsenal (agg: 3-2)
Gabriel Jesus is offside but the flag doesn't go up until he's missed a terrible effort.
Declan Rice slides it through to him in behind the Bayern defence and Jesus smacks it miles wide.
Saved by the flag.

Of all the people Antonio Rudiger did not want the loose ball to go to after he had blocked Jeremy Doku's shot, Kevin de Bruyne would have been near the top of the list.
The Belgian had hardly any space and virtually no time.
But he had the presence of mind to both control the ball, then lift his shot into the roof of the net, knowing if he kept it down he might have hit Andriy Lunin.
That was superb from De Bruyne, exactly what we have come to expect.

Real Madrid bring on veteran Luka Modric for Toni Kroos in the heart of midfield.
Man City 1-1 Real Madrid (agg: 4-4)
Kevin de Bruyne is so close to putting City ahead. He curls in a sweet strike from just outside the box which a diving Andriy Lunin tips over the bar.
The referee doesn't see that it's a save and says goal-kick. So close. So close.

At last Man City get what they deserve.
They have been excellent in this second half. Jeremy Doku causes all the problems, but the ball falls to Kevin de Bruyne and he lashes it into the roof of the net.
As he smashes it into the roof of the net, the roof of the Etihad comes off!

We're going to extra time as things stand. Away goal rule is a thing of the past in Uefa competitions.
Bayern 1-0 Arsenal (agg: 3-2)
Bayern don't look like conceding at the moment. Arsenal have under 15 minutes to find a response or they are heading out of Europe.
