    It doesn't affect Manchester City or Arsenal really but the result in Munich is a huge blow to English hopes of a fifth Champions League place next season.

    It would now take an unlikely sequence of results to prevent Germany getting that second spot behind Italy.

    Needless to say, Manchester City winning this game in extra-time would give them some hope, particularly as they would play Bayern next.

    The thing for me is what Carlo Ancelotti is going to do and how they are going to improve.

    Yes Man City only got one goal, but possession wise you can see they are incredibly dominant.
