Plymouth go close twice in quick succession: first, an inswinging Adam Randell cross takes a touch off a Rotherham leg at the near post, forcing Viktor Johansson to react rapidly to turn the danger away at his near post.

Adam Forshaw then takes aim from just outside the penalty area with an eye-catching, curling attempt which bends narrowly wide.

That was an absolutely brilliant save by Michael Cooper. Not only did he stop the shot but he pushed the ball away from any Rotherham players and he produced a really strong hand there. That is why he is such a good goalkeeper, he has had nothing to do for 72 minutes and then pulled out a top drawer save.

Michael Cooper has had precious little to do tonight but he makes a fine stop to palm away a diagonal shot through a crowded penalty area by Seb Revan.

The Aston Villa loanee had done well to shrug off Bali Mumba on the right and cut inside. Rotherham need at least two goals to postpone their relegation, but a draw would put Plymouth in peril this weekend.

Rotherham win a second corner. Sam Clucas finds Cohen Bramall free at the back post, and his target attempts a first-time shot which is as firm as a puddle of custard, dribbling tamely beyond the near post.

That was a good chance, but the confidence of the finish made it look like it wasn't.

Callum Wright's been a decent attacking presence for Plymouth. His race is over, supplanted by Adam Forshaw for the remaining 30 minutes or so.

Another straightforward save for Viktor Johansson, this time when Jordan Houghton takes aim from a similar position to the one from which Morgan Whittaker tried his luck.

This is sort of end-to-end, but the lack of cutting edge around both boxes means that's not as exciting as the description makes it sound.

Sam Nombe will be hoping for more prolific times in League One next season. He's had the sort of night that's involved lots of polite thumb-raising to team-mates who've waywardly attempted to supply him.

Rotherham manager Leam Richardson, understandably, feels it's time to shuffle his lacklustre pack.

Ollie Rathbone, Andy Rinomhota and Charlie Wyke make way for Cafu, Jamie Lindsay and Tom Eaves.

The lively Morgan Whittaker's at it again, collecting a pass from Callum Wright in space just outside the penalty area and setting himself before curling in an accurate shot.

Viktor Johansson reads his intentions, shifts to his right and holds comfortably. Plymouth will be much the happier with how this half is going now.

That was brilliant football all round from Argyle, starting with Callum Wright with his turn, spin and getting the ball in. It was nearly a second goal, from Morgan Whittaker, but it was well saved.

Rotherham have failed to score in five of their past seven home games. On that evidence, you suspect a second for Plymouth would settle this.

Still only one attempt on target for Rotherham, who count Odoffin as their joint-top scorer, having bagged a grand total of four times this season.

Rotherham have had more of the ball during the early stages of the second half, but Sam Nombe is still strugglng for scraps in attack.
