    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

    WOW.

Pick the bones out of this!

Norwich forward Josh Sargent bursts in on goal from Ashley Barnes pass.

Sam Morsy is looking to get back in and, for my money, bundles the American to the ground right on the edge of the area.

    The referee is unmoved.

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

Norwich nearly get in for a second from nowhere.

A deep free-kick is hammered forward and it hits Borja Sainz on the back and then lands perfectly into his stride, somehow.

Town keeper Vaclav Hladky is off his line and the Spaniard goes to dink it over him from an angle first time.

No such luck but good effort nonetheless.

  3. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

The away fans are keeping the chants going as they look to rouse their team into a response.

Ipswich have been a little sharper since the break but they're yet to fashion a chance worthy of the name.

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

    Oooft, what a mess.

Ipswich get themselves into all sorts of bother after Sam Morsy shanks a bouncing ball back to his keeper Vaclav Hladky.

The home side get on the keeper's sliced kick forwards but can't fashion a chance.

Kieran McKenna is applauding the workrate of his players.

What a season it's been for Ipswich, especially their away form. They just need something here to rise back to the top of the league pile.

  6. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

No shots on target from Ipswich so far in this game.

The table-toppers hardly ever draw a blank though.

You have to go back to 1 January and a stalemate with Stoke City for the last time they failed to score in a league game.

  7. Second halfpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 6 April

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

We're back under way in Norfolk.

    No changes.

Can the league leaders turn it around or are Norwich going to boost their play-off hopes and take the bragging rights to boot?

    HT: Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

Ipswich could find themselves down to third in the table by the end of today if they fail to pick up anything from the game.

Second-placed Leeds visit Coventry, and Leicester host struggling Birmingham at 15:00 BST.

It's so tight at the top of the Championship...

Marcelino Nunez celebrates scoringImage source, Rex Features

Advantage Norwich at the midway point in the East Anglian derby.

It's been, as you might have expected, nip and tuck.

The away side had a decent spell but couldn't force Angus Gunn into action and then the home side started to show why they've won their past seven league games here at Carrow Road.

Marcelino Nunez gave them something to show for their dominance when his long range free-kick deceived Vaclav Hladky in the Town goal and went in off the post.

    Big 45 minutes to come.

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

    Oooooh.

The referee has let a few things go today and he continues to do so.

Axel Tuanzebe, already on a booking, looks like he checks a Norwich player but nothing doing, the away side go down the other end and Omari Hucthinson goes down in the area under the attentions of Borja Sainz. The referee is, once again, unmoved.

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

Ipswich have recovered from a losing position to win eight league games this season.

Boss Kieran McKenna will just want to get the back in the dressing room now and work out how to try and change the direction of this game.

Norwich, and their fans, buoyant just now.

  12. 'What a noise'published at 13:16 British Summer Time 6 April

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

    Brenner Woolley
    BBC Radio Suffolk commentator

What a noise there is here in Carrow Road, and at the moment I can't hear anything from the away fans.

An equaliser before the break would be very helpful for Town.

  13. 'A perfect strike'published at 13:13 British Summer Time 6 April

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

    Cedric Anselin
Former Norwich midfielder on BBC Radio Norfolk

It's a perfect strike from Nunez.

With two left footed players standing over the set pieces it constantly makes the keeper question who will be taking them.

We've been on top for the last ten minutes with all those free-kicks, and we now just need to stay on top.

  14. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Norwich 1-0 Ipswich

The home side had been turning the screw in the minutes leading up to their goal and now they have something to show for it.

Reminder that they have won all of their home games since 1 January and haven't lost here since 5 November...

    It had been coming!

It's a free-kick from MILES* out from Marcelino Nunez.

The Chilean midfielder's effort goes over the wall and despite Vaclav Hladky getting something on it it goes in off the post.

Huge, huge goal in the Championship promotion race!

    *30 yards or so.

  16. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

Kieffer Moore heads the Norwich corner away but the respite is brief and the home side come again and win another corner.

The next one is sent right under the bar and Vaclav Hladky in the Town goal can only palm it away.

Borja Sainz looks to strike on the rebound but Ipswich get the block on.

The Canaries well on top right now.

  17. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

Norwich win another free-kick in a decent area.

Cameron Burgess is hauls Josh Sargent to the ground with a challenge that would probably be called as a foul in either code of rugby.

Gabriel Sara whips ina decent cross but Massimo Luongo gets up to head away.

    Corner to Norwich.

  18. 'Norwich need some magic'published at 13:06 British Summer Time 6 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk sport

Norwich are seriously knocking on the door now.

Given their record from set plays one of these must come off soon.

    They need something magical.

  19. Postpublished at 33 mins

Norwich work a clever corner routine to the on-rushing Marcelino Nunez but he can't make a full connection with his shot and the ball is booted to safety.
