  1. 'I'm looking up the table'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 31 March 2024

West Ham v Brighton (15:00 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Mikey Harris, speaking in his pre-match news conference: "As I've said from the start, I'm looking up the table. I'm looking to try and finish as high as we can. West Ham is another opportunity for both teams to get three points. That's how I see it. I think it will be a really, really tough game.

"We'll be prepared and we'll go into it full of confidence and hopefully if we can get a result, then again we continue to look up the table and see how high we can finish. That's the challenge that I've laid down to the players.

"We've got five games, you know 15 points available. Let's go and see how many, how many points we can get and how high we can finish. That just gives us, you know momentum moving forward.

  2. 'Brighton will pose different challenges'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 31 March 2024

West Ham v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner, speaking in her pre-match news conference: "Brighton are trying to play the style that goes through the entire club structure.

"Obviously he’s only had a few games really in the whole scheme of things. He’s not had a pre-season or anything like that.

"We all know from a management perspective how difficult that is to turn around. You’re in the thick of it immediately. The team, the way that they play, has changed. It’s different for us from the previous two times we’ve played them this season.

"We’re looking forward to that and it will pose us a few different challenges we’re preparing for. We’re keen to get the game done this weekend at home."

But Harris, 39, has enjoyed a whirlwind two months working in the Women's Super League, which was typified by a thrilling 3-2 win over Leicester City last weekend.

In a wide-ranging interview with BBC Sport, Harris discusses his football career, the challenges of the WSL and gives an insight into his personality.

  6. 'I've no idea how that wasn't seen'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 31 March 2024

    FT: Man Utd 4-1 Everton

    Michael Emons
BBC Sport at Leigh Sports Village

Everton manager Brian Sorensen was unhappy with the decision to allow Millie Turner's goal, Manchester United's first, and was booked for protesting the decision.

In his post-match news conference, he said: “We let them into the game. We started the second half OK for the first five to seven minutes.

"It was a massive free-kick, she [Turner] was hanging on to Justine [Vanhaevermaet], who is the tallest player we have so I’ve no idea how that wasn’t seen by four people and that got them back into the game. I was frustrated because I knew that would give them the momentum.

“Then the game was almost dead and it was a very disappointing second half.

“It’s right around the corner where we get good results and our performances have been really good, but it has to be for 90 minutes. We started really well and kept the ball well.

“We got seven players back in the last two weeks so we need to get them up to speed.”
