Everton have been overpowered in this second half and giving the ball away proves costly as United move into a two-goal advantage.

All credit to Lisa Naalsund, she pounced on the error, stormed into the penalty area and set up Ella Toone for her second of the afternoon. It's a long way back for Everton now.

It had been coming. A dominant spell for United gets the equaliser they deserved.

Geyse had an effort blocked then United should have had a penalty with Millie Turner pulled to the ground, as manager Marc Skinner and some of his coaches were telling the fourth official.

Lucia Garcia's headed wide, Lisa Naalsund had a shot tipped over and Geyse's effort was deflected into the side netting with Millie Turner heading in from the following corner.

Everton manager Brian Sorensen was furious the goal had been allowed to stand, saying Turner had held down her marker when she attempted to jump.

All it did was earn Sorensen a booking and one goal quickly became two with Ella Toone firing low into the net to the delight of the United bench and stands.

From one down to 2-1 up.
