    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

There are whistles around Allianz Arena as Dortmund goalkeeper Alexander Meyer controls the ball and then walks around his area with it.

A little early for time wasting but Dortmund lead so it's no surprise they are looking to slow it down when they get the chance.

  2. CLOSE!published at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

    WOW!

Harry Kane puts a great opportunity over the bar.

Joshua Kimmich delivers a really inviting ball after charging down the right and Kane is unmarked and just five yards out.

    How has he missed that?

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Leon Goretzka tries to pick out Harry Kane with a deep cross into the box. It curls over the head of Kane and away for a goal kick.

Bayern have looked OK in moments but they haven't completely clicked just yet.

  4. Postpublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

    That's better from Bayern Munich.

For the first time in a long time they get bodies into the final third but Konrad Laimer's powerful low shot is well wide.

There's a balloon on the pitch! Harry Kane has jump popped it with his boot.

    Party pooper!

  5. Postpublished at 17:48 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

The corner comes to nothing as Bayern head clear and try to mount a counter but it's won straight back by Ian Maatsen on the halfway line and Dortmund attack once more.

Mats Hummels attempts a shot but the 35-year-old centre back scuffs it well wide.

    ALL DORTMUND!

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Bayern had Dortmund on the back foot in the opening 10 minutes but they are struggling to get the ball now.

It's amazing what a goal can do for confidence as Dortmund casually stroke it around their defensive line and through the thirds.

Julian Ryerson's deep cross is put behind for a corner by Joshua Kimmich.

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

April 2014 was the last time Borussia Dortmund won a league game at Allianz Arena.

Can they end that drought today? Can they put the final nail in the coffin of Bayern's slim (very slim) chances of catching Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen?

  8. Postpublished at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund's tails are up now as they look to mount an attack down the right but Julian Ryerson's cross is too close to the goalkeeper and Sven Ulreich collects.

  9. goal

GOAL - Bayern Munich 0-1 Borussia Dortmundpublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Karim Adeyemi (10 mins)

One shot and one goal... pretty good accuracy from the visitors.

Bayern Munich are caught light at the back as Julian Brandt carries the ball forward and he finds Karim Adeyemi, who fires a shot through the hands of Sven Ulreich for his third league goal of the season.

Regular number one Manuel Neuer is out injured, he might just have saved that one.

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Here come Dortmund for their first attack of the game as Julian Brandt carries the ball deep into Bayern territory.

He holds on to it for too long and Bayern scramble it clear.

  11. Postpublished at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

First chance of the game for Harry Kane.

He's so close to getting his 32nd Bundesliga goal of the season but Julian Ryerson just does enough to knock the England striker off balance as he meets a cross with his head.

A couple of yards over the bar but an early warning for Borussia Dortmund.

  12. Postpublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Leroy Sane is causing plenty of problems from the Bayern Munich right already. We know from his time in England with Manchester City that he likes to chop in on that left foot.

This time he eventually runs into traffic and the ball is lost.

    Positive start for the hosts.

  13. Postpublished at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Early free-kick for Bayern as Leroy Sane is brought down wide on the right.

Sane delivers the cross and it's met at the far post by Konrad Laimer who squares it for Thomas Muller but there's an offside as his shot is blocked away.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Chants of "BAYERN, BAYERN, BAYERN" ring out around the Allianz Arena as Borussia Dortmund, in their traditional black and yellow kit, get us under way.

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is making his 29th appearance in a Bundesliga Klassiker - a new record, moving ahead of Michael Zorc.

Hummels, 35, has played for just two clubs across his career - Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund - so he's had plenty of opportunity to build up those Klassiker appearances!

So, good news for Bayern Munich and England fans alike that Harry Kane starts.

Kane sat out of England's friendly loss against Brazil with an ankle injury before returning to Germany to recover, missing the 2-2 draw with Belgium.

The 30-year-old joined Bayern from Tottenham in August for an initial 100m euros (£86.4m) and is the leading scorer in the German top flight with 31 goals in 26 games.

England's all-time top scorer hit a hat-trick when Bayern won November's Der Klassiker 4-0 at Dortmund.

Kane is joined in the starting line-up by another England international as Eric Dier gets the nod to feature in the centre of defence.

On the other side of the field, Jadon Sancho will be looking to have an impact for Borussia Dortmund as the Manchester United loanee continues to rebuild his career.

Sancho has scored one and assisted one in eight Bundesliga appearances since returning to Dortmund in January.

  17. Team news - Neuer missing for Bayern; Reus on bench for Dortmundpublished at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

Bayern Munich confirmed on Friday that England striker Harry Kaner had been passed fit to start after an ankle injury.

There's a new Sheriff in town with Bayer Leverkusen the top dogs in Germany at the moment, but that doesn't take anything away from this evening's encounter between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Der Klassiker is always the highlight of any Bundesliga campaign, despite the pair not fighting each other for the title, and hopefully this latest instalment doesn't disappoint.

Bayern's hopes of winning a 12th consecutive title are slim to say the least with a 13-point gap to close on leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Regular challengers Dortmund are well off the pace this campaign and face a battle to secure a top four spot.
