  1. Au revoir/hasta luego!

Right, time for us to call it a day.

Solid wins for Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain which take each of these European giants closer to their domestic titles.

Thanks for your company, see you again soon.

  2. Post update

    FT: Marseille 0-2 PSG

Confirmation that tonight's hard-earned win puts PSG 12 points clear once again at the top of Ligue 1.

Given their vastly superior goal difference, they need just nine points from their final seven games to clinch a 10th title in 12 seasons.

A matter of when, not if, surely.

  3. Post update

FT: Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Solid rather than spectacular is how that Madrid win will be filed. But, against the fourth-best team in La Liga, that tells its own story.

Athletic Bilbao have bigger fish to fry this week, though. The Basque club are aiming for their first major trophy since last winning the Spanish cup in 1984.

  4. FULL-TIME

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

All over! Another successful night for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, with Rodrygo's double enough to move them eight points clear of second-placed Barcelona.

Eight rounds of games left. Madrid's title to lose - spectacularly.

  5. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Not sure Eder Militao has had a touch - or if he will get one.

  6. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

There you go! One of the Madrid players, seemingly ordered to do it by Carlo Ancelotti, kicks the ball out and the biggest roar of the night goes up.

On comes Eder Militao after a such a long and serious injury.

  7. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Come on lads - someone kick it out of play! Eder Militao is still waiting and perhaps getting nervous...

    Four minutes of added time.

  8. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Eder Militao is stood on the touchline and is about to come back onto the pitch, seven months after tearing his ACL in the first game of the season... against Athletic Bilbao.

  9. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Not much more for Real Madrid to do in the final stages - apart from an emotional return for Eder Militao, it seems...

  10. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Feels like a good time to remind you that Madrid don't play again until they face Manchester City in the Champions League.

    That's in nine days.

Plenty of time to nurse those bumps and bruises, get those tactics finetuned at Valdebebas.

City, meanwhile, have two Premier League to squeeze in before that.

  11. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Heading into the final five minutes of normal time. Can't see there being much more to be added.

  12. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Jude Bellingham is sat on the floor and throwing his arms in the air with frustration.

That's international football language for 'why isn't that a peno, ref'?

He has got a point after being bundled over by Dani Vivian.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONS

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

How about this for a trio to bring on for the final 10 minutes?

    Luka Modric.

    Eduardo Camavinga.

    Lucas Vasquez.

Alright for some. Off go Rodrygo - who the standing ovation is mainly aimed at - Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde.

  14. FULL-TIME

    Marseille 0-2 PSG

A huge win for the Ligue 1 leaders, who played more than half the game with 10 men after Lucas Beraldo's controversial red card.

But second-half goals from Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos have re-established PSG's 12-point cushion at the top of the French top flight.

A big missed opportunity for Marseille, who have now lost 12 of their past meetings with their big rivals. They remain three points off the European qualification places.

PSG celebrate Vitinha's goal against Marseille
  15. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Madrid are almost home and hosed so Carlo Ancelotti looks to be making a few changes down in the dugout.

  16. SUBSTITUTION

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Here's a blast from the past... Iker Muniain comes on for Athletic Club.

The Athletic talisman almost makes an instant impact as he gets on the end of a cutback from the left but can't beat Andriy Lunin.

  17. INJURY TIME

    Marseille 0-2 PSG

Five minutes of stoppage time for Marseille to manufacture a miracle.

  18. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

That is Rodrygo's 10th goal for Real Madrid in La Liga this season, which is the first time he has reached double figures.

  19. Post update

    Real Madrid 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

If it wasn't over before, it really should be now after Rodrygo's second goal of the night..

Real Madrid look to be re-establishing their eight-point lead at the top of La Liga.

  20. GREAT SAVE!

    Marseille 0-2 PSG

Marseille almost halve their deficit immediately but Gianluigi Donnarumma makes a brilliant double save to smother Faris Moumbagna's first effort and then, while grounded, foil Amine Harit's follow-up.

And then another double save, denying Harit from an acute angle before fielding Ulisses Garcia's effort from distance.

The Italian keeper has had an excellent evening.
