    Marseille 0-0 PSG

Something has to give in this storied rivalry this evening.

PSG have won 11 of their past 14 meetings with Marseille - and they're also unbeaten in 16 matches in all competitions in 2024.

That's something only two other clubs, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City, can boast across Europe’s ‘Big Five’ leagues.

But Marseille have not lost any of their past 19 home games in all competitions, their longest unbeaten run at home in 18 years.

  2. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Marseille 0-0 PSG

We had Der Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

And now Le Classique is under way in the south of France.

It's not the weather you would usually associate with that area of Europe though - absolutely pelting it down in Marseille.

Real Madrid v Athletic Bilbao (20:00 BST)

Hey Jude! Madrid aren't making it sad. That's because the boy Bellingham is back in their La Liga XI.

The England international has missed the past two league matches after being sent off for complaining after the final whistle in a controversial draw at Valencia on 3 March.

Bellingham replaces Brazil forward Vinicius Junior, who is suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards.

Real Madrid XI: Lunin, Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Mendy, Valverde, Tchouameni, Kroos, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Diaz.

Athletic Bilbao XI: Agirrezabala, De Marcos, Paredes, Yeray, Lekue, Prados, Sancet, Vesga, I Williams, Guruzeta, Berenguer.

  5. Mbappe eyeing another Golden Bootpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 31 March

    Marseille v PSG (19:45 BST)

Kylian Mbappe is streets ahead in the race for the French top flight's Golden Boot too - his 24-goal tally is nine clear of his closest rival, Lille's Jonathan David.

He's certainly signing out in style after reportedly agreeing to join long-time suitors Real Madrid this summer, eyeing a sixth successive season as Ligue 1's top scorer (although he did share the award in the shortened 2019-20 campaign).

The Frenchman hit a hat-trick in the 6-2 thrashing of Montpellier prior to the international break but will face a tougher test of his scoring abilities tonight.

Marseille have the joint best home defensive record in Ligue 1 - having conceded just seven goals in 13 games at their Orange Velodrome stadium.

    Marseille v PSG (19:45 BST)

Ex-Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and former Sheffield United maverick Iliman Ndiaye lead the line for Marseille.

Decent looking attack. Until you peek over the other side of the pitch and see Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele and, of course, Kylian Mbappe on the PSG teamsheet.

Marseille XI: Lopez, Garcia, Mbemba, Balerdi, Merlin, Kondogbia, Veretout, Harit, Henrique, Ndiaye, Aubameyang.

Paris St-Germain XI: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Pereira, Beraldo, Hernandez, Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Ruiz, Dembele, Kolo Muani, Mbappe.

  7. PSG closing in on another titlepublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 31 March

    Marseille v PSG (19:45 BST)

Paris St-Germain have one hand plus a couple more fingers on a 10th Ligue 1 title in 12 seasons.

They are nine points clear of second-placed Brest - who won 1-0 at Lorient earlier today to keep up their pursuit - and can extend that gap back to 12 points by winning their game in hand tonight.

Marseille, meanwhile, are hoping to spring a surprise - PSG have lost only once in the league this term - to boost their European qualification hopes in a very congested race for those berths.

They sit three points adrift of sixth-placed Lens and have only finished outside of the top six twice in the past 19 years.
