Morton manager Dougie Imrie tells BBC Scotland: "I'm bitterly disappointed, it wasn't a great start from us.
"We gifted Dundee United two goals in the first half and two poor goals in the second half and we always knew it was going to be an uphill struggle after that.
"Tonight there are no excuses, from start to finish we were really poor.
"We had opportunities in the second half but it wasn't good enough. The players have to come and show that they have got the fight in them.
"We have got three games, we need to pick up points if we want to stay in the league next season."

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "Job done as far as we're concerned tonight. We're hitting a bit of form at the right time.
"We hadn't been playing particularly poorly but we just hadn't been clinical enough but in the last three games we have been ruthless.
"At this stage of the season it doesn't really matter how you get the win, you just have to win.
"The scoreline might suggest it was a comfortable game, it wasn't We had to fight hard for every goal, it was a real battle out there.
"The boys were terrific, scored some good goals and defended really well.
"I've been in the game long enough to know that we can't get comfortable because it's not job done."

Dundee United captain Ross Docherty tells BBC Scotland: "We tried to start the game on a positive note and I felt that we did that.
"I thought we were excellent at managing the game tonight.
"We can only focus on ourselves, we came here to get the win and put in a good performance and we'll look to do the same again next week."

It was a convincing win from the league leaders who go seven points clear at the top of the Championship table - all eyes on Raith Rovers now to see what they can do against Partick Thistle tomorrow.
Although a disappointing 90 minutes, credit to Morton for keeping up the pressure despite being four goals behind.

Robbie Muirhead does so well to turn the two United defenders closing him down, he gets his toe to the ball and sends his effort just wide.

While I was fixating on the state of Goodwin's shoes, Morton had a chance on goal but Jack Walton did well to smack it away from his goal.
The resulting corner also goes close but eventually rolls out the other side for a goal-kick.
