  1. goal

GOAL Morton 0-2 Dundee Unitedpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 12 April

    Glen Middleton

Jim Goodwin wasn't wrong about the incentive of a win tonight, was he?

It's a really nice bit of play down the right from Kai Fotheringham and they eventually end up with the ball in the Morton box, it's a little bit scrappy but Middleton is in the right place at the right time.

He gets on the end of the pass and lashes it into the roof of Ryan Mullen's net for his fifth goal of the season.

    Ross Docherty

    The captain gets the breakthrough!

United win a free-kick in a really dangerous area just on the edge of the box but Louis Moult sends his effort straight into the Morton wall.

Docherty was free though and gets on the loose ball to send a wonderful header into the bottom corner.

    Morton 0-0 Dundee United

Tony Watt storms into the Morton box but Jack Baird is there to smother the danger, it's only out for a corner though.

Glenn Middleton's cross is attacked by Jack McClelland who can't put his effort on target.

Up the other end Morton's effort is deflected out and they have a corner of their own, it's defended well by Ross Docherty to head clear at the near post.

"Morton have got some dangerous players, set-plays are going to be crucial tonight so it should be a decent game and hopefully three points for us."
