The intent has been there from the minute he came on the pitch.

It's brilliant from James Forrest - what a substitution!

    James Forrest

    What an introduction...

James Forrest has just come on as a substitute and, with his second touch, the winger drives across the face of the Aberdeen penalty box and curls a low drive round goalkeeper Kelle Roos and into the bottom far corner.

Reo Hatate has been quiet in this game, but the Japan midfielder comes to life with a neat dribble, but his low ball from the by-line is cleared by the Dons defence.

Alistair Johnston is next to threaten, but the right-back can't find a Celtic team-mate in the six-yard box.

Celtic are now spraying the ball about more confidently - and with pace.

Aberdeen can hardly get a touch and are camped deep in their own half.

Callum McGregor, in the middle of the centre circle, rolls his hand and jabs them in the direction of various parts of the park.

As if to say "this is more like it, pass quicker, move better".

Celtic have upped the pace at the start of the second half.

  6. 'Expect Celtic improvement'published at 13:48 British Summer Time 20 April

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC One Scotland

I know it's level, but it'll be interesting to see if Celtic do have that excellent second-half performance that they've shown so many times this season.

I wouldn't say they were poor, far from it, in the first half, but you'd expect to see an improvement this half.

Aberdeen defender Nicky Devlin went down in pain after a challenge from Greg Taylor and is requiring treatment.

That allowed Yang Hyun-jun the space to exploit in that last attack.

Celtic struggle to clear Leighton Clarkson's free-kick into the penalty box.

But Jamie McGrath fires a volley well over the crossbar. It looked like it might have struck the midfielder's hand in any case.

We're off. And Aberdeen earn a free-kick immediately as Alistair Johnston pushes over midfielder Jamie McGrath.

Aberdeen are out first for the second half. Celtic follow shortly after.

But we are no closer to knowing who will face Hearts or Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.

Will holders Celtic come good after the break? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  13. Brain fog from MacDonald?published at 13:36 British Summer Time 20 April

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen captain on BBC Sportsound

It was a huge error from MacDonald that gave Celtic a lifeline.

I don't know if it was brain fog, but he is usually calm and doesn't do that - trying to roll the ball under pressure.

  14. Expect Celtic to improve?published at 13:34 British Summer Time 20 April

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Tom English
BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

None of Celtic's big-game players are doing it. But I've seen this movie before.

Last week, St Mirren were giving them problems in the opening 45 minutes, but Celtic came out in the second half and rattled in three goals.

  15. 'Celtic will be disappointed'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 20 April

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Charlie Mulgrew
Former Celtic and Aberdeen defender on BBC One Scotland

I think Aberdeen have been brilliant - they can be very pleased with how they played.

They've reduced Celtic to minimal opportunities. It's important they keep doing what they're doing, getting that ball up to Miovski.

He's holding it up and causing a bit of bother. Celtic will be disappointed with the way they're dealing with Miovksi.

  16. Dons testing off-pace Celticpublished at 13:29 British Summer Time 20 April

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC One Scotland

I've really enjoyed the game, enjoyed the quick start from Aberdeen.

They were bang at it on the front foot, looked to test Celtic. Celtic get the response through probably a bit of fortune.

We've not really seen a 90-minute performance from Celtic this season and it's proven to be the case again. So far it's met expectations.

  17. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-1 Celticpublished at 13:24 British Summer Time 20 April

An eventful first half comes to a close.

Aberdeen have given as good as they've got after that dream start handed to them by Bojan Miovski's opener.

But Celtic are level after Angus MacDonald's error led to Nicolas Kuhn's equaliser.

The VAR check is done and referee Don Robertson waves play on.

Celtic and their fans breathe again.

Apparently it was, indeed, a hand ball, but it was outside of the box, so VAR does not intervene.
