    Barcelona 0-1 Chelsea

The last time Barcelona did not score in a Champions League match was against Wolfsburg in 2022.

They need to have a shot on target first, to avoid breaking that streak.

I really do not like how VAR deals with offside - and part of your body a half-inch over "the line they draw" and "offside". It seems they have it backwards.

    Mike

Not sure on that Buchanan arm well out of position regardless of the offside. Not sure people say right decision if you swap the teams around.

I want the referee to go and have a look at this.

I've seen two replays and I think that should be given as a penalty for Mayra Ramirez. I would give that, oh I would.

It was a swipe from the defender, no contact on the ball. Perhaps she was thinking that a few Chelsea players have gone down easily in the last few minutes and that has gone against them.

Looking again at that Mayra Ramirez penalty shout, it was a clumsy challenge from Irene Paredes.

VAR checked it and said no penalty. On another day, another official may have felt differently.

Now Mayra Ramirez is down after a Barca player accidentally stands on her foot.

The Barca fans are furious, and manager Jonatan Giraldez is upset too.

They are not used to being under the cosh like this.

VAR in an important women’s game? VAR being used correctly? What a breath of fresh air.

Perfect decision not to award the penalty for Barcelona. I was worried it would stand but thankfully we have excellent officials in charge today. Chelsea living dangerously at the moment though, need to control the game better if possible!

We have a break in play. Salma Paralluelo's shot was bravely blocked by the head of Jess Carter and the defender has stayed down.

Carter is getting medical attention as her team mates take on water.

I would love to say that is the right decision but I have to say I am not 100% sure.

Salma Paralluelo is in an offside position and is stood behind Kadeisha Buchanan, but let's be fair, Buchanan's arm is out a long way there.

In reality you feel cheated if a player is offside and you as a defender try to hold your position and get that call.

As soon as Frappart made her decision, Hayes fist pumped and roared to her bench.

    Drama in Barcelona!

Salma Paralluelo is judged to have been interfering with play, and one of her heels was offside as the shot was taken which Buchanan handled.

    Huge let off for Chelsea.

    The VAR check continues.

The reason for the check is that Salma Paralluelo was standing right at Kadeisha Buchanan's shoulder as the shot was hit - meaning she could be interfering with play from an offside position.

I think Buchanan would argue that she was being dragged over by a player that was offside.

But her arm is out, the ball hit it, so that is a penalty. I don't think that will be overturned.
