F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: "A McLaren spokesperson told me that the coolant leak is in a really awkward place, and so the mechanics have to strip down much of the car to get to it. The team hopes to have the car running, but it won’t be until late in the day."

Reports elsewhere suggest McLaren's running is done for the day but that's not the case. Still hoping to get back out.

Daniil Kvyat pops out for one quick one. He's got the super soft tyres on and clocks 1:24.815 to go second in the timesheet, conveniently doing so before I provide the 3pm laps and times update.

F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: "Kimi Raikkonen has been stuck in the garage because the mechanics are changing a radiator on the Ferrari. The team thinks the car should be ready with about an hour to go."

  14. Where's Kimi?published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2016

Kimi, who clocked the fastest time of the day on the ultra soft tyres this morning, has yet to emerge in the afternoon, and it looks like he has spent the last 90 minutes being talked through some data. He looks thrilled about that too.

I'm not going to encourage a caption competition, but I won't discourage it either...

That's the second time Rio Haryanto has brought out the red flag. The rear of his Manor is planted firmly into the barrier at Turn 4.

Haryanto is finding his feet in F1, and testing is certainly the place to do that.

The session is stopped for first time today as the red flag is waved. The reason? Rio Haryanto has struck a barrier in the Manor. He's out of the car and the recovery truck is on the move.

    Always striving for perfection.

I'm genuinely intrigued to see what Mercedes are going to be like when they are pushing to the limit. Next week's test could be interesting.

Reach for your magnifying glass (or should that be Magnussen-fying glass) and check out the data live from Barcelona.

Kevin Magnussen has just surpassed a century of laps.

    Top effort from Renault today.
