ELIMINATED - Wehrleinpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:17 BST 2 April 2016As expected Pascal Wehrlein is eliminated and it is a superb 16th place on the grid for the rookie.
ELIMINATED - Ericssonpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:16 BST 2 April 2016No improvement from Marcus Ericsson and it is 17th on the grid for the Sauber. The clock is counting down on Pascal Wehrlein but he is in the pits, so looks likely to be the final driver eliminated in Q1. Still, 16th on the grid is fantastic for the Manor.
ELIMINATED - Perezpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:14 BST 2 April 2016Next out is Sergio Perez. His 1:32.911 isn't good enough to keep him in the hunt for Q2 and he will start from 18th on the grid.
Tiring stuff on the typing fingers this, but exciting!
ELIMINATED - Magnussenpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:13 BST 2 April 2016Kevin Magnussen is out in the next stage of qualifying, but he starts from the pit lane anyway after a weigh bridge mishap in practice.
Impressive from Daniel Ricciardo as he leaps into P3 with a 1:31.403, splitting the Mercedes and the Ferraris.

16:11 BST 2 April 2016Stoffel Vandoorne shot up to 13th with a 1:32.472, meaning Pascal Wehrlein is in a spot of bother...
ELIMINATED - Palmerpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:10 BST 2 April 2016Jolyon Palmer improves and pushes Stoffel Vandoorne into trouble, but Vandoorne is coming round now...and improves to scrape through! Palmer is out. Disappointing for the Briton.
ELIMINATED - Haryantopublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:09 BST 2 April 2016Rio Haryanto's qualifying session is over and he will start from 20th on the grid.
Now Jolyon Palmer is in trouble. He has one minute to improve his current time of 1:33.825.
ELIMINATED - Nasrpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:08 BST 2 April 2016A blow for Sauber as Felipe Nasr is the first eliminated. Badly timed out lap and he hasn't got enough time to improve his initial 1:34.388.
Postpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:07 BST 2 April 2016A moment for Stoffel Vandoorn at Turn 13 and that's messed his lap up. His first time is a 1:33.443 and that won't be anywhere near good enough.
We are entering the time for the first elimination and Felipe Nasr is the man in danger.
Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 April 2016
16:05 BST 2 April 2016The first times from the front runners are in, and it is Nico Rosberg who sets the early pace, clocking 1:31.325. Lewis Hamilton is second quickest (1:31.391), with Sebastian Vettel (1:31.636) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:31.685). That should see the lot of them comfortably into Q2.

16:02 BST 2 April 2016Mind games already? Kimi Raikkonen is right up behind Lewis Hamilton on this out lap, putting a bit early pressure on the Mercedes driver.
Remember this part of qualifying was the most exciting in Australia, and it will probably be the same again today.
