Sebastian Vettel is in with a real shout of a podium finish. He's fourth, a second behind Daniel Ricciardo with five laps to go. The Ferrari is three tenths of a second quicker than the Red Bull at the end of the latest lap. This could go down to the wire.

  2. Lap 64/70published at 14:35 British Summer Time 24 July 2016

This must be incredibly frustrating for Kimi Raikkonen. He has the pace and the tyres to get the better of Max Verstappen, but there's just so few opportunities to overtake here.

Now Lewis Hamilton finds himself closing up on Valtteri Bottas. He runs wide and that gap has come right down between himself and Nico Rosberg. Seventh tenths of a second between them.

There could be some late drama yet...

"We're going to have to retire the car," Jenson Button is told and I'd imagine he'll have no complaints. He's been fighting a losing battle since the first lap.

First retirement of the race, somewhat surprisingly.

Jenson Button is still plugging away, down in 19th, but his troubles might not be completely over. Looks like there's a bit of smoke coming out of his McLaren...

Peter Wanyonyi: Must be tough being Rosberg. Just when you thought you'd caught him, he pulled away again.

Fred Kiberu: Hamilton knows how to keep Rosberg at safe distance. He is the true champion.

Alex Withington: That's a shocker from Gutierrez - not just to baulk Hamilton but if he gets a penalty he ruins any chance of getting Haas some points.

Gutierrez has indeed received a five-second time penalty...

  8. Lap 61/70published at 14:31 British Summer Time 24 July 2016

"Kimi is going out of the track limits," complains Max Verstappen, sounding not unlike a school kid who is blaming his mate after being brought up in front of the head master.

    "It was his fault, sir..."

David Williams: Another ruling I hate is the penalty for running over the white line...they're racing not colouring in.

Damon Harman: As Hungary GP is truly about strategies and pit stops and less overtaking opportunities, it reveals the thought put in by the teams.

Adeel Ejaz: The tyres are a mess, cars can't follow in dirty air, but let's ban radio messages!

Meanwhile, Nico Rosberg possibly got stuck in a bit of traffic himself. The gap between himself and Lewis Hamilton has increased to two seconds, having been one second just a couple of laps ago.

There's looks to be no significant damage to either the Ferrari or the Red Bull as Kimi Raikkonen resumes his battle with Max Verstappen.

"Beginner's mistake. He went for the inside, went for the outside and took out the left side of that front wing."

  14. Lap 56/70published at 14:26 British Summer Time 24 July 2016

Kimi Raikkonen is pushing. He is weaving up behind Max Verstappen looking to pounce. Wow they are close...contact! A bit of the Ferrari's front wing goes flying into the air and Raikkonen runs over the gravel at Turn 2.

Esteban Gutiierrez was investigated for ignoring blue flags as Lewis Hamilton looked to get past and the result of that is he has been given a five second time penalty. He's currently 11th.

Slapped wrists time for Fernando Alonso. He's told he is on his final warning for exceeding track limits. If he does it once more, a drive through penalty could be coming his way.

    The McLaren is currently seventh.
