Lewis Hamilton has used three engines this weekend and the punishment, including using all the relative engine parts, adds up to a 55-place grid penalty for the start of Sunday's race.
With just 22 cars on the grid, anything more than 22 is irrelevant.
So, he will likely only take part in the first qualifying session, save his tyres and get back to the motorhome to crack out the pipe and slippers.
Are you ready to see something odd?
Odder than a Kimi Raikkonen smile?
Odder than a fully working McLaren?
How about a bloke setting off in qualifying despite it having absolutely no bearing on where he will start the race?
I love F1 because it's odd, and to be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way. And neither would you.
So, Kimi Raikkonen is the quickest in final practice, two tenths quicker than the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo.
The Mercedes are down in fifth and sixth - with Lewis Hamilton a tenth quicker than Nico Rosberg. although neither man really spent much time on the super-soft tyres.
Still, it all makes for an interesting qualifying session.

Ferrari are looking handy over one lap. My standout performance there was Williams. They were well off the pace yesterday but both of their drivers are back in the top. If they are going to stand any chance of keeping fourth in the constructors' championship they need a good result here.
That's a time good enough for fifth from Lewis Hamilton on his only lap with the super soft tyres.
So that means Kimi Raikkonen is the quickest in final practice.
Session over. What can Hamilton do on these super soft tyres?
Ah. Lewis Hamilton has now slapped on super soft tyres and he's going to sneak a lap in before the flag drops on final practice.
Nico Rosberg can only muster a time good enough for sixth - it's a personal best but seven tenths off leader Kimi Raikkonen.
F1 expert Allan McNish seems to think that slower time is down to fuel loads and won't be indicative of what will happen in qualifying.
We have one minute left.
Boom. Kimi Raikkonen is not here to put boots on caterpillars and sets the fastest time, going two tenths of a second quicker than Daniel Ricciardo.
Lewis Hamilton did not emerge with super softs in the end - but Nico Rosberg has and is looking to topple Kimi.

I'll send Allan McNish down to sort it out...
Eight minutes remaining and Daniel Ricciardo still tops the board with a 1:48.189.
Kimi Raikkonen is two tenths down but has just emerged on super soft tyres so may give it a crack.
And Lewis Hamilton may give the super softs a whirl too - it will be interesting to see how much gusto he gives it.
Disappointing news that for Max's Dutch army of fans at Spa - hopefully he can dazzle them in qualifying.

It's game over for Max Verstappen in this session. The gearbox is still off the back of his Red Bull.
We're into the final 15 minutes of third practice and both of the Mercedes look happy to whizz around on the harder compound tyres, with the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo and Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel trying out quicker qualifying laps on super softs.
Hamilton is out on softs and goes askew at the Stavelot right-hander, which will impact on his time.

Zoe: Dingle Dell at Brands Hatch
Nick Holland: Tamburello, 130R & Turn 8 (but where?)
Greg B. Scott: Best corner, and best name - Cork screw, Laguna Seca, Monterey, California
Daniel Ricciardo leads still, two tenths quicker than Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel a further tenth back.
Nico Rosberg is in fourth, but he has only run on the soft tyres, as opposed to the super softs.
Engineers are still working on Max Verstappen's car - the gearbox is out. More when we have it.
Good to have you on board, Daniel. Send us your pictures from Spa using #bbcf1.
