Safety car comes in and we are back racing.
Jenson Button also picked up some damage to his front wing on that first lap and he pits for a nose change.
Valtteri Bottas picked up a puncture as a result of that first-lap drama. He pits for a change of tyres and then almost runs into Sebastian Vettel as he is released into the path of the Ferrari.
Nico Hulkenberg got caught between the two Toro Rossos and a collision with Carlos Sainz sent him into the wall for the second successive race in Singapore.
LIGHTS OUT!
Great start by Nico Rosberg but Nico Hulkenberg gets tagged right at the off and is into the wall!
Safety car out already.

The big issue here today is going to be what happens with safety car periods. We've had a safety car every year here. Every team will have to factor that in.
Romain Grosjean is out of the race. A brake issue means he won't start.
Everyone else is in position and ready to go...
It's a long race this one. Make sure you are armed with plenty of snacks.

Edward Taylor: Really worried for Lewis starting next to Max Verstappen. There might be contact...
Black Alpha: Keeping an eye on the Red Bulls they're usually mighty in Singapore!!
Kath Maguire: Washing's out, coffee's on - ready for #SingaporeGP, external#f1, external come on.

It's not been a great weekend at all from Romain Grosjean, who complained about the handling of his car yesterday. There's been another pre-race hitch and he will start from the pitlane.
Count Fisco: So Vettel has finished either first or second in the last six Singapore Grands Prix, doubt he'll continue that today though...
Robert Johns: I think it's going to be another win for Rosberg.
Jose Gurtubay: RIC ROS RAI.
Rainy season in Singapore doesn't kick in until November and there is currently no threat of rain for the race.
A downpour isn't completely unusual at this time of the year. In fact, there was some rain during the day in Singapore, which will have washed the circuit clean.
