  1. Hello and welcomepublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2016

Thanks for joining us for what could well be the decisive race of the 2016 season.

Race 20 of 21 gives Nico Rosberg his first opportunity to win the world title with a victory regardless of where Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton finishes.

Qualifying ended with Hamilton on pole by a tenth from his rival, but the starts of both Mercedes have been suspect this year so it's impossible to make any predictions about who will lead the way after Turn One.

And I've not even mentioned the weather yet...

  2. The year of the underdogpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2016

Predicting the winners of two-horse races in 2016 has so far proved a perilous undertaking.

Trump in the White House? Nah, surely not. Brexit a reality? Nope, can't happen.

    Yet they did.

And today - admittedly on not such a seismic scale - another two-horse race can go the way of the underdog.

Win in Brazil in a few hours' time and Nico Rosberg will be F1 world champion.

Let's face it, it really wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world.
