I have just been watching Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull being pushed back into the garage and those super-softs he has been running look in pretty good condition.
This should be a one-stop strategy race if it is dry. Start on the super-soft and change to the soft. The good news for us is if you are out of position you can't rely on strategy to gain positions, you are going to have to do it on the track.
Should Friday practice be scrapped?
Daniel Innerd: I disagree with Lewis, any excuse for the fans to see the cars on the track is a good thing. I am all for Friday practice.
Jolyon Palmer spins at Turn 11, prompting a brief wave of the yellow flags, but no major drama as he manages to continue with minimum fuss. He currently has the 17th quickest time with 1:40.752.
Fernando Alonso's first time is a 1:40.432, two seconds down on his McLaren team-mate but he did that time on softs, while Stoffel Vandoorne's was on the supersofts.
Sergio Perez goes second quickest with a 1:37.696 while McLaren currently have the fourth fastest time courtesy of Stoffel Vandoorne's 1:38.394.
Bit early to get excited about that, though, with the most of the big hitters yet to put in a competitive time.
Nico Hulkenberg isn't happy with Kevin Magnussen, saying he "needs to learn to let people past".

Due to a lack of the running yesterday there will be less of a racing line. It means you will have to nail your start in the race and it is interesting to see Mercedes are doing practice starts.
