    Whenever  Fernando Alonso  says he had the best drive he has ever done, he is very obviously advertising his wares to other teams. 

    He knows that Valtteri Bottas' contract at Mercedes is only a year long and his McLaren contract is up at the end of the year and he would love to drive for another team who can help him to the World title again.

    Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas is informed they still have the potential for P4. Optimistic? He's 16 seconds behind Ricciardo.

    Lewis Hamilton managing his tyres and clearly has the pace if he needs it. He flexes his muscles with a 1:35.583 - a new fastest lap of the race - to increase the gap to 8.4 seconds.

    Looks like Hamilton will have enough to keep Sebastian Vettel at arm's length.

    Kimi Raikkonen is making his move towards the podium places as he uses DRS to pass Carlos Sainz on the start-finish straight. The Finn is into fifth.

    Kimi Raikkonen finally pits and is onto the super-softs, back out in sixth. 

    That elevates Sebastian Vettel to second and the Ferrari dials it up a bit as Vettel does 1:35.423 - the fastest lap of the race so far - and he's eight seconds behind race leader Lewis Hamilton.

    If Kimi Raikkonen had access to a complaints box, it would be full to the brim now. He's had several whinges in the race, the latest just now.

    "So where are we going to finish?" he asks. "Because I have no front end and there's 20 laps to go!"   

    Raikkonen is on older tyres than those around him.

    Mercedes pit both cars with Valtteri Bottas taking on fresh set of softs, a slight delay in getting one of the wheels on and he is back out in seventh.

    Lewis Hamilton pits from the lead, smooth enough and he is back out comfortable in the lead. He's 5.5 seconds ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in second.
