Daniil Kvyat has been nudged off the track by Sergio Perez at Rascasse. The Force India was trying to squeeze through the smallest of small gaps.

Perez pits and is out of the running for points. Felipe Massa is up to ninth with Kevin Magnussen 10th.

"Does it look comfortable," Valtteri Bottas snaps after he is told he can make engine settings changes if he's comfortable. Stuck between two Red Bulls is definitely not a comfortable place to be.

"You can push like an animal," Kevin Magnussen is told. He's currently 12th and has a chance of sneaking into the points. He's just over a second behind Sergio Perez in 10th.

What sort of animal would the K-Mag be, I wonder?

If I were Daniel Ricciardo, I would not compromise my third place to maybe help my team mate get fourth.

Riccardo has to protect his own race. Verstappen should look after himself.

I tell you what, he got away with that clip on the barrier if he can survive the rest of the race.

It was a good save by Daniel Ricciardo after clipping the barrier and he is still third for now. Valtteri Bottas, meanwhile, is the meat in a Red Bull sandwich. Not a very pleasant place to be, especially after Max Verstappen was told to do what he does best.

Very telling that it was Sebastian Vettel that was asking about Pascal's well being there.

He was at the Race of Champions where the young German injured his neck before the season started and they were very close there so it was no surprise he sounded worried about his compatriot.

Sebastian Vettel isn't worrying about what's going on behind him. He's working on building up his gap again and is now 1.7s clear of Kimi Raikkonen in the lead.

Daniel Ricciardo clips the barrier at Turn 1 as the cars power away on the cold tyres.

Meanwhile, there's another McLaren out. Stoffel Vandoorne has ended up in the wall at Sainte Devote. Chance of a point gone.

It's a double blow for Sauber as Marcus Ericsson somehow manages to retire his car under safety car conditions.

It comes after lapped cars are told they can overtake to unlap themselves and Ericsson manages to crash as he overtakes the safety car. Doh!

Nice from Sebastian Vettel as he asks if Pascal Wehrlein is OK. He's told he is and there's a huge cheer as Wehrlein eventually manages to climb out of the Sauber.

It was indeed Jenson Button who collided with Pascal Wehrlein. He tried to squeeze past at Portier but drove straight into the side of the Sauber, upending it and planting it on its side at the barrier.
