They have to be very careful how they put this car back onto it's wheels. It is around 700 kilos of weight there.

The safety car is deployed because there's been a crash. It looks like Pascal Wehrlein's Sauber which has somehow ended up on its side in the barrier.

Nico Rosberg is enjoying the race.

Probably just delighted he's not involved in it.

It happens quite a lot here. There are a few stones but it's not as if it's breaking up really badly.

The track is indeed breaking up at the exit of Turn One. Right on the racing line it is starting to look like a neglected car park.

Stoffel Vandoorne could score McLaren's first point of the season. He's currently 10th although he needs to keep an eye on Sergio Perez, who is 1.4 seconds behind him.

  11. Postpublished at Lap 54/78

Sebastian Vettel is now almost 12 seconds clear of Kimi Rakkonen.

I don't think anyone would turn down a sting in a tail to come in this race. In a season where pretty much every race has delivered, this has been a bit of a snoozefest.

It would be a massive psychological win for Sebastian Vettel today.

Him and Hamilton banter and say they are quite good mates off the track but I wonder, as the battle heats up, just how that relationship will change...

From where he started in 13th, I would think that would be a pretty impressive result for Lewis Hamilton - seventh place - he would pick up six points.

The gap would still be one whole grand prix victory behind the Sebastian Vettel in the championship battle.

  20. Postpublished at Lap 47/78

If things stay the same to chequered flag Sebastian Vettel will lead Lewis Hamilton by 25 points in the drivers' championship.

Vettel is just going further and further into the distance with his lead over Kimi Raikkonen now almost 10 seconds.
