    F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: Kimi Raikkonen completed the first 15 laps of his race distance on the super soft tyres, did 18 on the softs, and then switched to the medium compound Pirellis. It looked like he was doing the same thing Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel did in his race simulation yesterday and going the last half of the 66-lap run on the same set of tyres.

    But that all ended after 12 laps on the mediums when he spun his Ferrari because of an apparent mechanical problem, stopped on track and brought out the red flags.

    Kimi Raikkonen was approaching 100 laps for the day before coming to a stop. He got the fastest time in testing so far this morning but that's two incidents in the two days he's been involved in this week.

    McLaren are rapidly closing in on surpassing Red Bull's total laps for the day. Max Verstappen is still on 33 for the day because he has not been out since this morning. The reason? "Max's afternoon running limited so far as we run some checks on the turbo," says Red Bull. "Team pushing to get the #RB13, external back on track."
