"There's an issue with the tyre temp readings, just ignore them at the moment," Lewis Hamilton is told.
The Briton has to go old school and see how it feels for himself.
Three minutes left. Lewis Hamilton heads out first.
Let's do this.
Jeremiah Kariuki: Hamilton has a way of making statements on the track! That's a massive lap! Pole for his to lose!
Max Verstappen (0.872) and Daniel Ricciardo (+1.018) are fifth and sixth quickest respectively.
The cars head back to their respective garages to prepare to the crucial final run...
Valtteri Bottas is third quickest, four tenths down on Lewis Hamilton while Sebastian Vettel is a massive half a second down on Hamilton in fourth.
And Lewis Hamilton goes fastest of all after the first flying lap! It's a 1:42.907 by the Briton, three tenths quicker than Kimi Raikkonen.

That lap from Lewis Hamilton did show what Mercedes had in their pocket - that they were maybe giving a bit of false security to everybody else because when he did put it together a 42.9 is just phenomenally quick. Backed up by Bottass as well - that's the thing for me.
Oh no! There's a Renault with smoke pouring out of it and it's Jolyon Palmer's car. Tremendously frustrating after a great showing by the Briton.
Here we go.
The battle for pole position is under way. Will Lewis Hamilton equal Michael Schumacher's career record of 68 poles? He's looked bang on it so far.
The Briton, along with Kimi Raikkonen, is out early.

That was total annoyance from Fernando Alonso because they gained quite a lot in that first sector playing with the tow.
Funny moment in the McLaren garage as Fernando Alonso storms off down what appears to be a corridor, an eagle-eyed camera person keeps him in shot as the Spaniard reaches a dead end and, seemingly not knowing what to do next, just stands there.
11) Alonso
12) Grosjean
13) Magnussen
14) Sainz
15) Vandoorne
Lewis Hamilton finishes fastest in the second part of qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Jolyon Palmer has had his porridge this morning! A stonking lap by the Briton as he does a 1:44.685 to go seventh quickest and he is into the top 10 shootout.
His dad, watching on in the garage, nods and smiles in approval.
"Fab," says Jolyon.
Is this the 90s?
"No power! No power!" shouts Fernando Alonso. He's 11th and isn't going to make it through.
Crikey! Lewis Hamilton is absolutely flying! The Briton improves to dip below into the 1:42s with 1:42.927. Valtteri Bottas goes second quickest, three tenths slower than his team-mate.
Some tactical work at play here as Stoffel Vandoorne heads out and Fernando Alonso uses his team-mate's slipstream to slingshot beyond his fellow McLaren.
No drama for Jolyon Palmer. He's back out for another run.
