Here's a nice feature to occupy you during FP2.
A few of the BBC Sport elves have clubbed together and come up with a small guide to F1's failed partnerships down the years.
It features Emerson Fittipaldi, Jacques Villenueve and McLaren. It features McLaren a lot actually.

T Dennis Immanuel: Sainz & Hulk on balance I think Renault may have a stronger 2018 driver lineup than Ferrari. Debatable of course, time will tell.
Johan V Steffensen:Too many talents in F1 for current teams. Norris, Gasly, Kubica... Palmer unlucky. More teams needed to be there to have a chance.
David Milner: Amidst all this engine/driver hullabaloo, I'd like to say I'm glad Singapore remains on the calendar. Already planning my 2018 trip.

13:38 BST 15 September 2017Valtteri Bottas sets the fastest time of the session so far despite going very wide in the final turn. It looks like he got on to the dirty part of the track quite early and it just dragged him ever wider off line.

13:30 BST 15 September 2017Just a quickie on the flurry of news we've just had...
My only problem is how signposted it all was. We knew all of that was coming.
How much more fun that would have been if it was all just landed on us.
*BANG*. "Deal with that, mainstream media."
Andrew Benson and a few of his journalist mates in the pit lane might have needed the smelling salts but it would have been highly entertaining.
